you can put HPS on when you first see the preflowers as well but if you have height restrictions and your plants already reached the desired level, keep on with MH for 2 more weeks after first preflowers appear to control the height.This way,the internodal distance would be smaller which won't let them grow to the ceiling. 1 more week from now on as it is already flowering and switch to HPS,it will most likely be the sweetest spot to control vertical growth. If you have enough space for them to grow,switch immediately to provide more lumens to your plants.HPS is much stronger than MH. It is all about controlling the height. If you have space,switch asap or if you think they are tall enough and will grow further,keep MH on for a week or so.Up to you.I would switch now as they seem to be ideal sized.
