Brown roots

Did a reservoir change yesterday and today my roots are all brown. The pH was 6.3 so I brought it back down to 5.6. There is i fowl smell so im thinking nutrient build up? I sprayed them gently with resevoir water in a spray bottle to clean them off.

Based on the look and you stating that they smell, I would say that's root rot.
Do you have a lot oxygen where the roots are sitting?
Are you using beneficial bacteria such as hydroguard?
Does the reservoir allow light to penetrate into the water?
How warm is the water?

They arent just sitting in water. The waters aerated. Thats what hydroponics is..

Woodworking or fungal attack?I was away from home for 3 days, once I got back I saw those damned mushroom midgets that were already near the carrots for irrigation.
I fear that 2 plants (the largest) have hurt.
Possible fungal infection?

Hey Guys, So I've been putting house and gardens amino treatment and root accelerator gold into my res and now I'm paranoid I have root rot. res is hella cold at 63 usually and they don't seem to be slimy aside from the gunk on them that I think is those additives. Is it normal?6y ago

How prevent root rot in dwc sterile reswas wondering what everyone uses in there dwc to keep there roots happy... I been using beneficial bacteria southern ag garden friendly fungicide...But have see people using h202 and was wondering how that worked and what kind of h202 they use..I have also used hydroguard along with keeping water temps
