Is this really cheese? They don't smell skunky or cheesy but fruity with citrus. They also look like sativas and not indicas. I'm not complaining as they look and smell great but was wondering if I may have been sent other seeds than specified,

Cheese is a Skunk#1 phenotype called a Clone only strain so everything that is not a clone or an S1 from the original clone ( the exodus cut if I am not wrong) is not a real cheese. If the cheese has been crossed then it is a cheese based cross. Now about the sativa ascent, like I said the Cheese is a special Skunk#1 cut and the Skunk#1 is a cross between ( if I remember well) an Afghani , a Thaï , a Mexican and a Columbian so only 1 of these strain is a indica : the Afghani. So when a skunk/cheese is sativa leaning it's totally normal due to the original genetics. When it comes to Skunk#1 hybrids I recommend everyone to buy a Sensi seed Skunk#1 10 pack and grow them all , you'll get a lot of phenotypes , some with citrus smell , some with dead dog smell , some with herbal taste or even some with a cherry/berry taste. If the phenotype is not isolated like for the Exodus cheese or the Lemon skunk from DNA genetics then you'll probably play lottery for the phenotypes

Well cheese really isn't an actual strain. It is just a pheno of skunk #1 so you won't always get the cheesy aroma that the "strain" is known for. Your feed and environment also play a big part in the terpine profile your plants develop so I wouldn't really worry about it until she is harvested and cured a bit. And there is always a possibility of getting the wrong strain especially if they don't come in breeder packs. Anytime you involve humans in the process there will be errors haha. Looks like you will have some really nice buds and that's a win! Good luck finishing them up.

With my first few plants I sent messages to the seed companies.. What the hell why are these 2 plants different? Like one is obviously Sativa and one is obviously Indica. And @Grey_wolf is basically saying what needs to be said lol. I'll just take it a little further and say it's kind of a crap shoot with "hybrids" unless it's a 100% indica or sativa there's always a chance of one or the other parent strain coming through. And if you add in more parents you complicate the matter even more. My ultra Violet Og is 80% indica dominant but it still acted like a sativa for example. I hope this helps and happy growing.

@MrMunchies Hi there mate I could be mistaken but I seem to remember reading there being a Blueberry parent amongst this strains Genetic pool and more than likely this is what your plant is showing in it's phenotype
