Already getting hard to find decent Coco for any normal price. Have 8 cu ft myself will be getting more if I can. This could be rough for coco growers. Ideas and any other items of concern? I am thinking LEDs 😳

I was just giving you a hard time 😉 as ga4rd2en0er said the old school perlite is always an option to fall back on. I use perlite also and most of it can be washed for reuse. Just doesn't hold moisture like the coco.

The best soil to use is Roots Organics Formula 707. Best of luck friend.

Thanks for taking the time to answer try and get to all the points. Not arguing guys just explaining the position as the questions are bit character limited, and maybe letting you know what we see. Well one can be complacent and assume things will work out but due to the reason for our grows I dont have that option, yet dont confuse this with some foolish panic, we try not to get caught short First off this not from China, most is from Indonesia and other parts of the Asian Pacific Rim problem is the shipping from there to here. Heck guys have any of you been watching the shipping reports? Nothing is moving in many ports not in China and we dont grow the stuff locally sooooo... its ok most people have never been exposed to the nitty gritty of how things get here. If you have ideas for less common sources, we are not afraid to clean the crap out of the stuff, might be a good idea to hammer out alternatives now. Wouldn't have started this unless we had hit a snag getting ours as the stores cant get any either, oh they can order it but it aint coming for now. Second off that is not how pandemics play out, look very closely at the Spanish Flu, the spread will be most like the 1918 pandemic. Not sure what you have been told but the death rate for now seems higher than previous flues. But then who knows Lastly I am sure one will be able to get coco from South America and such but you cannot carve out 60% of supply with no warning and clog up the shipping lanes to boot, which is a global effect. We are considering DWC sometime next year anyway may go ahead and get the gear now. Thanks again be safe out there Good growing and good luck

@rhodes68 I don't buy shit from China unless it's imperative . There are many sources of Coco outside of asia and to be perfectly honest I would rather pay a little extra for something that will be far better in quality than anything coming out of Mass produced Chinese factories. Are china the only country making LED lights? No they are just the ones that COPY others designs and sell it cheaper with inferior parts and NO warrantys etc. Buy Local mate

I agree with the other guys... Slow down and take a breath lol. Leds are manufactured in thousands so there's lots out there. The warehouses aren't gonna run dry tomorrow. And eventually this will run it's course. and as far as coco is concerned just change your medium...

Supplies may temporarily slow up a bit, Hopefully when warmer weather hits the bug will die off. I'm switching over to 100% perlite top feed anyhow. Much easier to reuse the perlite vs coco.

There are several companies that have supplies stockpiled in the us and other countries so there is no reason for alarm at this point. I just smoke a big bowl, put my breathing mask back on, and relax.😂 Times like this we just have to avoid strains that are known to cause paranoia.
