So I'm growing some Dutch treats in a small 2x2x4ish grow box. Shes getting to big so I switched to 12/12 lighting to start the bud process so it doesn't outgrow the box I'm wondering how much more the plant grows or does the energy now go to the buds? Not enough room lol

It depend on the strain, as my Blueberry nearly tripled, and it is an Indica. Since I have had both Sativa and Indica take off on me, I always plan for 100-150% increase minus the distance needed for light clearance to top of canopy. If you fear you are going to bump into ceiling, start LST now and carefully bend/tie those tallest branches down, to get ahead of any stretching. If you wait till critical mass, they will be too stiff and you may break them.

The stretch depends if it’s a sativa dominant strain or not if it is it will stretch a lot maybe 2x 3x of the veg size, you can alway LST, if it’s too late you can add some regulator from aptus it will stop the stretching and reinforce cellwands and has also other benefits. When you switch it to flower the plant will hit what is called the flowering stretch. On average you can expect them to stretch to double their original height. Some sativa strains will go 3 times the original height.

They usually explode during flowering..
They will stretch the most during first and second week so keep an eye on them, good luck ☀️
