Hi guys! So this is a fb auto day 22. I was not planning to stress train her in any way. Could you please advise is this first node should be removed or kept? It looks unusually small to me and I wanted to remove it but I've never removed anything so early. Thank you, growmies!

I ALWAYS remove the first node, the one closest to the ground as it/they never really do much. You can safely remove them, your plant will not notice it or be harmed in any way by doing so. I take them off as soon as they are big enough to handle, leaving them too long may be more upsetting to the plant than early removal.

My first suggestion for you would be to remove them this time. My second suggestion would be to LST your plant the next grow. By doing this you will have better yield. To but it in perspective, my first node was actually my biggest cola. You can see this on my Banana Purple Punch Auto diary.

I don’t personally keep the first node of any plant. To me it’s just so low that any of those branches are going to get drowned out by the rest of the plant. Also give a bit more clearance for watering by removing it.
