Training outdoors is useful. Just remember it's a slightly different context. Indoors you focus on maximizing the canopy being even and making best use of the artificial light.
outside, the plant is absolutely swimming in photons from all angles, not just above, so it's more about spreading things out than leveling it out. Whether at the bottom or from the side, all exposed portions of the plant are receiving the same DLI, unlike inside where it is drastically less anywhere except the top regions of canopy.
So, bending it over as you do inside is probably unnecessary. Just train teh limbs outward on various angles to spread it out.
