Yes, if you scope trichomes throughout the grow you will find amber oens. The trick is not to start scoping them until the buds have ripened. Nothing wrong with watching how it progresses, of course, but not a trigger for harvest early on, obviously.
the heat could have been the cause. That trichome may be quite a bit older than most trichomes elsewhere on plant. Trichomes all over the plant are on different timelines. Also, just in case, make sure to only scope the trichomes on calyxes, not the leaves/sugar leaves.
