I just got my first grow tent- a Vivosun 32x32x64 and a Vivosun 4” fan and carbon filter combo. It came with directions for the tent- but nothing on the ventilation system. What’s best as far as set up? Any tips, recommendations, or photos.? Does it need to vent outside?

If the carbon filter is a good one, you could vent the exhaust right out into the larger room area. Trying to get it outside if not near a window is a trick, unless you have an unused dryer vent. Mount the exhaust on an upper corner, as heat rises, and it will be easier for it to vent out.
You should also get another 4" fan for internal circulation, and place cattycorner to your exhaust fan, near the bottom of the tent.

I’m in a 1.2x1.2 with 600w hps and I was reaching temps of 32. Today I started extracting to another room and temps have dropped to 28 which is great. I used to extract to the room with a cfl lamp and it worked great because the cfl wasn’t that hot so the extractor helped keep temps up. If you check out my gelato diary you can see how I have my fans and extractor setup. Hope this helps.

It's best to pull in air on the lower end and blow out air on the higher end. When you set it up make sure there is no light leaks for the exhaust.

I am facing a temperature problem again....My tent reaches 84.2F, which is too hot in my opinion. But my humidity is perfect. On the other hand, if I activate the ventilation, the temperature of the tent reaches 76F, which is perfect, but the humidity level drops dramatically to 35%.

Tried mini dehumid. still issues with portable ac (added @ 9pm 6/2) see pic for graphAvg RH was 45%,had spikes @ 80% RH in dark, added portable ac to my tent. It raised avg. RH not lowered.
