I put some info on how I usually do clones in my fire & water monstercropping diary. I use perlite and a little airstone to keep the water bubbling. I get 100% success using the method and it is easy kinda set it and forget about it. Good luck!

Hi @Wilson_McNugget , I usually do like this, the day before making the clones it is convenient to water and hydrate the plant abundantly. The next day, wash your hands and put on some good latex gloves and then disinfect the scissors or scalpel that you will use with pharmacy alcohol. It is best to make the clones by cutting the youngest branches and the lowest part of the plant because the probability of success is greater by having a greater amount of rooting hormones at that point in the plant. The cut to 45% and we will do it as clean as possible and it is recommended with the scalpel to make small incisions in the skin of the stem after cutting, so when we wet the stem in the hormone, it will penetrate better. Once the clone is cut we put it in soak in water for a minimum of 8 or 10 hours, then we shake off the water and introduce 1 cm of the stem by its base in the rooting hormone (clonex), trying to apply a thin layer of product, for this reason we recommend the use of hormones in gel since the amount that adheres will be the most adjusted. good luck mate 🙏👍💪
