No, you need to burp them, end of story. "Burping" will add fresh oxygen to the jars, which is vital for the curing process. Sealing them and not checking the buds may lead to a nasty mouldy surprise when you finally open them too. Burping them every 2-4 days is essential to make sure the buds are not too wet still, as once you put them in jars, buds that you thought were dry can suddenly become soft and damp again.

Drying and curring your buds are almost more important than growing the buds themselves when it comes to quality smoke. Please only do technical ways to dry and cure weed. There is no need to re invent the wheel. You don't nit want to ruin you hard work with an experiment just to save a few $ or save some time not burping jars. I know it seems hard and a callange to sry and cure plants especially at 1st when you have no idea what your doing. It will very much be trail and error for the 1st few grows. No one ever ends up with good smoke in the end at 1st but I promise if you dry amd cure the way people explain online you will get to making good buds way

You will have to open anyway to make sure it doesnt dry out before you seal up tight for good.good idea though could have a real specified application. Good luck let us know how it goes if you try it. Is it cheaper then just opening and closing the cap

throw a hygrometer in there and if it stays a safe level, then it works well. If it traps too much moisture and RH is high, it's a mold factory.

I would look into Grove Bags. They're inexpensive, keep bud at proper humidity level, and are reusable. No burping required! They can be heat sealed for longer storage. They sell vacuum rolls now as well. I'll personally never use a jar again. I like the window version, I buy the cheap round hygrometers on Amazon and place them in the window with the bud so I can see the humidity level without opening the bag. They're out of Ohio but if you're in the USA, look for them on Happy Hydro. Price per bag and shipping is cheaper then from Grove themselves.

No, it’s better to treat using the standard method, I generally recommend that if you’re not too lazy, you can treat using the refrigerator; Alternatively, store it in the refrigerator for about a month after drying it for 7 days. Remove and air out the buds every day for a month to lock in even more cannabinoids and you'll see how shiny the trichomes become, but this method isn't for everyone. After all, anyone can forget about the jar with the harvest. And thereby ruin the harvest. But the result is quite good, after just a month of this aging you will be able to decide for yourself where to store the crop, in the closet or in the refrigerator, if it can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 years. So there are many ways, but the standard is drying for the first 10 days to remove excess moisture. And then you can decide which method is preferable.

If it is a regular mason jar with the two piece lids it’s probably not necessary to do that. Plus you need to burp them daily so the tape would get redundant. Burping is part of the curing process. If you just throw the buds in there after drying and don’t open them the bud will smell like hay. When curing you need that fresh air exchange daily. If you want to cure with no burping you may want to consider using “Grove Bags” for a storage solution where you don’t have to burp. But glass jars 100% need to burp daily for the first 6 weeks. Up to you if you want to continue burping after that. I cure for about 3 months.
