Is there anything I should do against the roots growing into the tank? What are the effects of the roots growing into the tank?

Its fine, they will airprune and die off. I would make sure tho, that the tank itself is clean and cannot infect the roots with anything, also the tank needs to drain properly.

Effects on the plant should be minimal to unnoticeable. I've had an aeroponic system running myself, and the roots grew through the drains into the nutrient tank. The only problem that can arise is that the roots can clog the drain, and you could end up flooding your system. My solution was to simply pull the roots out of the tank and into the root area. This way, the drains are clear again, and everything is good.

You can do root pruning. There can be a few problems such as oxygen availability you don't want them to grow too deeply. You can also have issues with nutrient uptake and root rot.
