Just wait and see. Next time you can leave them a little longer to grow a root that's 1-2 cm in length before planting them in the soil. But usually when you damage them that young, unfortunately they're gone.

All you can do is plant it and hope for the best.
While many love the paper towel method. I think it introduces the chance of over watering or damaging the root. Instead I soak my seeds for 24-36 hours. Then plant them. You don't get the fun of seeing that the seed is viable before planting but in 2-7 days a little sprout will appear above ground.
If you follow my method. Do not cheat and try to gently dig down to see how the seed is doing (learned that the hard way). It is so easy to damage the very young plant. Just leave it alone and let Mother Nature do her thing.

Add Nutrients after 2-4 days of sometimes heavy rain for an Auto. Yes or no?I just had 4 days of sometimes heavy rain, 2 days in to it I added 1/3-1/2 my 3 day nute routine. Super low runoff PH, even after corrective measures being taken. Plant otherwise okay, but probably isn't taking all her nutrients.My runoff PH has been hitting mid-5s, even after flushing (w/ & w/o additive). Been trying to raise with higher PH water, used 7.25PH water today and the runoff was still 5.56. She looks healthy other than some discoloration in some leaves, so it isn't killing her but.....????4 years ago
