Bud rot

😥 Can I use neighboring-- not-moldy-to-the-eye-- buds, if I find bud rot while harvesting? Can I do something with the buds that have mold, i.e., can I neutralize the mold for use in edibles? 🙏. Cheers.

I'm sure you could eat it.Like most people Iv got my bread out a number of times to find mold on it only to remove the mold and eat the bread.Keeping your plants healthy with things like seaweed/kelp and compost tea really helps. You can spray compost tea on your vegging plants. The gfood microbes in the tea eat the bad ones.Even better use Amino treatment from house and garden.L forming Amino Acids harden the substance,I forget the name between the cell walls so the spores cant travel anywhere when they land on the plant, they just die.It also has kelp in it amongst other things like silicon. It gives youy big fat stalks which means big fat viens,I can't remeber what they're called,My minds blank,I wonder why, haha.

no. "good" mold will not eat it or neutralize it. you'll just have more mold on your plant contaminating smoke and edibles, lol. there are no effective products against fungus. And the ones that are partially effective is nothing you want to spray on flower. Even the products a commercial farmer has access to. Also, anything "organic" thatt's effective at killing life is probably not safe, either. "Organic" doesn't mean shit relative to any meaningful causality. cut it out, throw it out. Even then, it's likely spread. Your eyes are absolutely not good enough to assess if it is infected. it was already spreading spores all over the fucking place, so ... unles you lie to yourself, you will be smoking at least some spores or fungus.

Food industry is for digestion. Facepalm emoji should fit here ;))) Lets talk private, maybe you will give me more info. Still doubt anyone will buy product for 400$ with lifespan/shelf live for 12 month only ...

Botrystop isn't a pesticide. It's an organic fungicide. Basically it's a beneficial fungus that outcompetes the grey mold. It's impossible to remove the particles outside of mechanical means, but you most certainly CAN neutralize it.....the whole commercial food industry pretty well does it already lol.

NO, NEVER consume moldy buds in any form. Neighboring buds that are not moldy are fine to consume. It is impossible to "neutralize" the mold to use the buds in any way. If you like consuming poison, by all means use "BotryStop"!

All pesticides are for digesting not for burning, means they are used for berries and fruits , but not for weed.

It depends on who you ask. Everything I've ever read on the topic just recommends removing affected material. Most people on here think you gotta trash the whole plant. Grey mold(botrytis)isn't as dangerous as some others. Winemakers actually call it "noble rot" and sometimes allow botrytis to affect grapes to increase sugars. In the commercial cannabis industry there's a few ways it's treated. Ozone(O3) will kill it but it also strips out your terps. UVc kills it but it takes a long time and isn't very penitrating. The industry standard that's emerging is irradiation via xray tech. All the commercial weed in Canada has to be irradiated. For a home grower, prevention is your best avenue. Control conditions. There's a foliar that commercial growers use called BotryStop that's used in early flower.

No. No and no. If you kept while drying or curing - all is infected. If you are chopping now and had only few spots, then 5-10 cm up and down on that cola should go to bin, rest could be good. I was throwing out all infected plant . You dont eat rotten meat or vegetable, here is same.
