Hi @Rojif Eggs, larvae, and pupa, will all live in the top inches of the soil. They will need moisture and fungal spores to survive. By simply allowing the top 2 inches of your medium to dry out between waterings, you will make it harder for the fungus gnats to live there.
At the very least, this will massively reduce the amount of bugs in the grow room. Most cases of bugs and pests can be put down to bad waterting practise. It is vital, especially when growing with soil or organically, to allow the medium to dry out a little between waterings. Good luck mate ๐๐

Well hopefully that is the case! Fungus gnats can be a pain in the ass! Thatโs why now we only use good soils to prevent fungus problems! Weโve been there lol! But if the white powder keeps up then that means it powder mildew which is very common for indoor growing! Watch your humidity! Donโt let it get much over 50 rh that will help! If it continues then you can get some bushwhacker or something like thatโs from your local grow store to control the mildew! Good luck ๐๐

Minor damage to a few leaves found today - what is it?I am trying to determine the cause of damage to a few leaves that was observed this week. It may be two different problems. On a few leaves, I see brown spots which may have originally been white. On another 2 leaves, I see a burn hole through the leaves with brown edges.

Best treatment for combating white powdery mildew at first sign of it? I used a non toxic sulfur spray with some defoliation of the more prominent leaves, especially any close to a bud site. It helped keep it at bay but had to be reapplied weekly and still fighting it daily.Week 11
