Is this early signs of Pollen sacs staring me down?

at that size you'd have to take one of the preflowers off and slice it open and use 'enough' magnification to look inside.. either a bunch of nanners inside or 2 white, hairy pistils coiled up inside. you can also wait a bit longer for it to be more ovvious with the naked eye. There is plenty of time before the sac opens up and disperses pollen it's male if.... if it projects out on a twig vs nestled into nook of branch. if it forms a cluster of sacs vs just 1 calyx. ---- it's female if pops out 2 white "hairs."

Yes, unfortunately it does look male like. If it were a female pre-flower, I would expect to see pistils already. However, it is still a bit early to say 100% "yes"............in a few days you will know for sure. Unfortunately, I would say "be worried".

Hi Nein das sieht nicht nach einem Anzeichen von Polen Säcke aus. Das sieht noch ganz normal aus. Dort werden später die calyxe weiblichen Organe entstehen. Mach dir noch keine Sorgen. Es sieht wie eine Lady aus :)

fyi, the nub between the pointy thing (stipula) and the axillary bud (what forms a new branch) is the "preflower"
