Do you have an idea of how much growth you typically see after flipping to flower? i realize it's a variable.. some stuff wil just stretch like crazy.. .but on average..
i figure about 30" typically after flip. So i went days deep continueing to wave at scrog height.. .except for the runty plants it was good timing (flip at 70% LxW = roughly 50% of area and plant should double in size after flip at minimum) I'm hoping for 20"-24" of canopy give or take and little to no larf -- you may have better uses for such things, translate as needed to your context. If you let it fill out scrog a bit more before flip, you'll get more canopy, more axillary growth at bottom of that canopy etc.
So far it's worked well... i did bend a couple unusually tall portions of plant after day 7, but only to even out the canopy. Filled in nearly all teh squares with a vertically growing cola, but some are empty around a couple of the smaller plants. I've had to prune some congested areas to reduce number of vertically growing limbs... probably could have preemptively cleaned that up with a more developed plant of what is going where and not wasted resources on growth that was chopped off.
You have a little larger squares, so maybe 2 colas per and alternate corners so tehy are evenly spaced? then based on the typical growth you see in your garden after flip, make a guess as to how much of that you want or if all.. make sure that entire scrog is filled by flip, but you'll almost certainly have to do some pruning to avoid overgrowth.
fwiw, i think my timing is good... over next ~3 weeks should get at least 20" vertical from where i was at flower day 7.
