What’s up guys just harvested my gelato! My dry room sits at 20-25c and 40-55%. I’ve cut all big fan leaves off and hung it all up. In two days I plan to completely trim and then re hang to finish drying. Does that sound like a good idea? Any tips are appreciated. Many thanks!

Hi @Ema26 I like to trim completely before installing and drying .Temperature and humidity look good👍 If you put a fan blowing on them, the buds will dry faster. congratulations on the first harvest. good grows 👍

Firstly, congrats on your first harvest👍. Must feel goooood. So! you can go about this in a bunch of ways and it's all up to you in the end. I've never done it but don't see any reason why it would be a problem doing a final manicure mid-dry. Especially since that's how a friend of mine harvests and it works just fine for him. Personally, I like the idea of letting them get fully dry before the final manicure. When they're dry, the smaller sugar leaves become crisper and are easier to cut/tear out, without damaging the bud structure. Works for me but maybe not for you! (?). For poops and giggles, you can always do a mid dry manicure on half the harvest and a full dry manicure on the other half, just too see what it's like and what you prefer. As for a tip! I use the bend/snap* method. Bend the stems of your harvest everyday or a couple times a day. If the stems make an audible *Snap* but doesn't break, they're dry and ready for jarring/re-hydration. If you bend them and they're rubbery, without that *Snap*, they're not dry yet and need a little more time to disperse that moisture. Anywho, just two cents. I wish you luck no matter how you go about it. You did it! Great work👌
