A friend wants to start his first grow. When you guys plant the seeds with roots. Do you cover them with soil? Or do you just drop them on the surfaces from the poot?

You need to cover at least the roots with soil , you can also put the part with the shell under the soil or not depending on how much the shell is open : if it's only open to let the roots goes out then cover it but if the shell is half open an let you see the cotyledons ake 1st leaves then no need to cover the shell , you can even manually remove it ( carrefully ).

Hola amigo!

Hi, if you already have seeds with root going out best way is to put it to EASY PLUG, but you can put it straight to soil and digg 1 cm hole put seeds andcover it with some soil, beacouse roots can't get the light. After water a little bit like 50 ml. Good luck ✊

Go to youtube and watch some vids on the matter, pick someone growing in a similar fashion. Far better education than we can give here

Hello! Once the seedling has developed some inches of root, what I like to do is open a small hole on the medium with a pen, not very deep, place the seed with the little root facing down, cover it with some medium, and then water gently, very slowly. If you water hard it will probably take more time for the seed to sprout, as it will need to grow more to reach to the light.
