I germinated one Royal Queen Cookies Gelato seed, and it's been the same for 4.5 days. This isn't normal in my crops. Could it be weak genetics? Germination in the container was excellent, surpassing the others, but development was zero.

Can't see any true leaves coming up from the middle of the cotyledons...........genetic failures are real and not that rare. No leaves = no future growth is possible.

Looks to be missing a growth tip.. and no physical damage easily seen, so could have just been bad luck with genetics. It probably would grow a new one, but the time required most likely makes the best path forward simply planting more. sometimes if oyu drip a little fertilizer on a nascent seedlings, it can kill the growth tip, but this is possible too... looks like it was just 'born' this way.

That almosg doesnt even look like cannabis. its literally only cotyledon leaves and nothing else. I would say just continue to grow it out and see what happens. But im not sure that anything will progress with her because i dont see anything at all besides the cotyledon leaves. Best of luck. also super interesting to see this. in my 7 years of cannabis, ive never seen a seedling like this 😅

Cotyledons are incapable of producing eneegy through photosynth, most likely a developmental problem back during embryogenesis, sadly without true leaves to take over photosynthesis the seed will only have energy reserves it came with from seed, not sure it can develop once germinated.

Hey there just be patient seedlings are slow to start I would not worry about rqs genetics they get a bad wrap but they have some of the most sturdy genetics most the time there plants grow very well and have a lot of tolerance to stress Maybe you are underwatering If personally water the plant enough so just a few drops of water come out the bottom the pot making the soil completely wet. Then wait about 10days till the soil is dry again and the roots have filled up the container a good am
