At what point would you assume a seed will not germinate - I've read most will germinate within 3-5 days - but I'm curious when most people would bite the bullet and start a different seed? (This is not a concern yet - I'm only at 36 hours! I'm just impatient!)

Hey man, ive found that after 48-72 hours after putting a germinated seed in soil they should be up. If you keep wetting it you’ve likely killed it with too much moisture. I’ve managed to kill many seeds till I found the best way to germinate for me at least... paper towel sprayed with warm water let excess run off > place in a warm dark place, if your house is not cold in a cupboard in the kitchen should do > wait for a 1-2cm taproot > plant it straight into the medium of choice if coco wet it first with a little water then plant seed 5-10mm deep. If soil plant first 5-10mm deep then spray with about 50ml of plain tap water. Wait till it comes out usually 48hrs.. 72hrs if the seed was only cracked and not showing tap root. If they don’t show after 3 days I start new seeds. Good luck patience is the #1 most important aspect of growing IMO

Hi @Eigholte! If the seed is not popping out after 72h, I take a delicate look into the soil with a Q-tip, this helps in diagnosing the issue. Happy growing! 👊
