Hello - and good news: This kind of discoloration is called "variegation" and is genetic. It is often seen in the first leaves. No need to worry, this has no impact on your grow.

Hey Growmie, At week 2, a little discoloration can happen, but it’s usually a sign of something being slightly off. Your temp (23°C) and humidity (60%) sound fine for seedlings, so I’d take a closer look at these things: Light stress – If the light is too strong or too close, it can cause light burn or bleaching on young leaves. Watering – Overwatering is a common cause of leaf issues at this stage. Make sure the soil is moist but not soggy, and let the top layer dry a bit between waterings. Nutrient issues – If you’re using pre-fertilized soil, it might be too “hot” for young plants. If you're using inert medium, they might need a light feeding around now. doesn’t sound like anything major yet. Just keep a close eye on new growth — if that looks healthy, you’re probably okay.

I concur, just noting that three pronged leaves are not solely due to stress....plenty of cuts floating around that LOVE to make 3 pronged leaves when happy, calling them malformed is just demonstrably incorrect

variegation is the uneven pigmentation. That first leaf's condition could just a 1-off. There's little to no drainage amendments in your substrate. it doesn't matter if it is 'magical' coco, you still need 2:1 ratio (33% perlite) for a proper gas mixture around roots and excellent drainage properties. This probably isnt' the cause, but elevates risks of problems over time. this is either genetic or something nasty in the rootzone. You've got another 3-fingered leaf that is malformed. I'd still wait to see how new growth looks. OFten these initial sets of leaves are fugly, but new growth will be relatively pristine. It's only on the "1" plant, so that's a good sign it's just the plant, but this is just playing the odds and not 100% confident. Do stuff that is less intrusive, like checking runoff pH and EC... don't expect it to match what you feed, but it shouldn't be too wildly different -- you need familiarity to use such measurements.. learn what is normal for your runoff when the plant is peak healthy and that'll be a good baseline to compare in future. until then, you wing it a bit. Also if anything dripped on it, good chance that caused the damage on that funky 3-fingred leaf.
