✌️I came across this booster in a sale and picked it up because I am thinking to incorporate silica in my nutrients.I read about it on some grow sites like RQS,and GME and more. But did anyone used this? And what is you experience with it? Also why the Nitrogen?😊Thx growmies✌️💚

Hi bredini. 👋 I have not used that specific brand but I have done my homework on silica. Looks more like a cal mag with a dose of silica. Where to begin, monocots and dicots.Monocots and dicots differ significantly in their silica accumulation patterns. Monocots, like grasses and grains, are known for their high silica content 15-20% particularly in their leaves and stems. Dicots, on the other hand, typically have less silica 0.5%or may not accumulate it at all in their tissues. Cannabis is a dicot. While dicots can also benefit from silica, they typically don't accumulate it in their epidermal cells like monocots. Can't apply it foliarly. Silica is primarily absorbed by plants through their roots. In my opinion and experience the benefits are far over exaggerated, 0.5% of silica will absolutely still be of benefit to your cannabis, but to me it's far more of a money grab certwi ly ahould not be paying for it, if you like silica in your grow throw in a bad of diamataceous earth and your good for the entire grow. Having the tiny amount you need mixed with cal mag is probably perfect anyway, just don't buy into the hype.

It is labelled as a booster due to the silica, which is common nomenclature for cannabis products. Good question on the N, why list an instable form of Si on the guaranteed analysis spec? I'd expect to see silica in a one-off bottle, for use accordingly when whipping up solution.

Hey 👋 Guess it’s more a marketing thing, which is not necessary to have. You can Test it and share the results ! 👊👊👊

it's just fertilizer... there's no 'boosters' magnesium, nitrogen, calcium and silica are merely molecules the plants use. You want the right ratio and concentration that doesn't impede each other and allows easy access to all the nutes around the roots. that would create the best 'boost' in growth rates over time.

Whatever was broken down to provide the nutes and mg must have been paired with nitrogen, + & - While some minerals are single elements, these elements aren't found "unbound" in nature. They almost always exist in a specific crystalline structure or are combined with other elements to form compounds based on the electromagnetic charge they hold. Calcium nitride (Ca3N2). Magnesium nitride (Mg3N2). Calcium uptake is different from other nutes in that its uptake based on a passive gradient. Binding calcium and nitrogen is beneficial for plant uptake. plant nutrition, nutrient uptake can be passive or energy-based. *Passive uptake, like simple diffusion, moves nutrients down a concentration (ec) gradient via osmosis without requiring the plant to expend energy. Energy-based uptake, or active transport, moves nutrients against their concentration gradient, requiring the plant to utilize ATP.
