I live in southern Portugal, where summers are long and hot (around 30ºC) with late rains. It's my first time growing, and I need help choosing small outdoor strains. Preferably from a site in Spain, since it's close by. Thank you :)

Greetings from Portugal to Portugal. The Portuguese community here isn't very large. I'm near the Serra da Estrela, if you can pass by here, I'll give you some clones already adapted or used to, as you want to call it, our hot and dry climate. If by chance you come to the good festival, let me know and I'll arrange some seeds and clones. Hug, if you need anything and I can help, send a private message.

I recommend Herbies, I ordered Barney’s seeds from them last year and everything was fine, this year I ordered them directly from Barneys. They are from Spain and have seeds from all well-known and proven companies as well as their own, but I don't recommend that you take theirs personally, but that it should be one of the companies like Barney's Farm, Green House Seeds, Royal Queen Seeds, Humboldt Seeds, Fast Buds and the like... these are all proven companies, and Herbies is their distributor in Spain. As for the small strains, I recommend Shiskaberry and Purple Punch from Barney, both strains are perfect, very low and give a lot, more than some bigger plants. It is best for you to order directly from Barney’s because they send to Portugal, and you have the option of having it arrive the next day and I think it costs 20 euros.

I had good results with sweet seeds outdoors (not outdoors specific strains). I grew normal and autos, if I had access to them again, I'd grow more autos (they are smaller) and stagger a couple if grows. Nice to have an earlier and more controllable harvest.

Great strains for you (small, tough, heat-friendly): Sweet Skunk Auto (Sweet Seeds) – compact, strong, beginner-friendly. Zkittlez Auto (Fast Buds) – fruity, sweet, and handles heat well. Easy Bud (Royal Queen Seeds) – super small and really easy to grow. Cream Mandarine XL Auto (Sweet Seeds) – slightly bigger but high-yield and citrusy. Lemon Pie Auto (Fast Buds) – mold-resistant, bushy, and compact

consider autoflowers (puked in my mouth a bit). Start early enough to miss the rain and maybe miss some of the more extreme heat? 30c may not be optimal, but they'll survive well enough. With the right RH it'll grow well.

Hey, try the Tropicana Cookies, Strawberry Gorilla from Fastbuds. Very nice genetics and very robust with good yield. Apple Strudel would also be highly recommended.
