Too much nitrogen/water?

PurpleFingers
PurpleFingersstarted grow question 4 years ago
I am having some trouble with a Sundae Driver phenotype. I have had this problem before and couldn't figure it out and thought I had corrected it with this grow by significantly reducing nutrients - currently on 3ml Canna A+B 1/3ml/l pk and 2 ml boost. Drinking 3-4l every 48hr

It's not so much a too much water / nitrogen issue as a too big a pot. Drastically reduce the pot size next time, think 4 to 7 liters.

Hi @PurpleFingers They don't seem to have excess nitrogen. 3-4L each watering seems to be a lot of water. I think the pot is too big, to grow big automatic plants, just make it in an 11L pot. good luck mate 🙏👍

Hi peeps, thanks for the tips so far. It is this pheno only that I am struggling with and have before. I have a different pheno of the strain in with her in the same pot type and she is very happy (See purple plant in diary which is now flushing). I will add a more descriptive photo to my diary week 6.

Hi! Are those downwards cupping leaves only near that fan? (atleast I spotted them only there) To me it looks like wind damage and that upwards cupping of the leaves could be that your VPD is off (Too high heat/Too low humidity). Also I saw liiiiiiitttle bit of burned leaf tips so atleast somepoint you gave them slight nuteburn and sometimes too hot soil makes the leaf tips curl upwards. You are growing in coco? Are you familiar with the watering techniques? Never let the coco dry fully and use hydro pH range (5.5-6.5). Also you should have some runoff water with every watering to remove excess salts that build up. Unles you are using beneficial bacteria and/or chelates that could break up some salts.
