Hi Argos! I think the bent growth, or LST, is a really good idea. With this method, the lower shoots get a lot more light, and you can create a nice even canopy. Plus, when growing outdoors, it helps keep the plant low, making it more discreet, and the wind won't damage it as much.
Based on your picture, you're doing great; the plant looks really healthy, and it will definitely reward you with more and bigger flowers from this kind of training. Just be careful when bending the stem so it doesn't break, but otherwise, it will be awesome!
