thrichomes havent been progessing alor, few ambers and thick buds, most of the hairs are brown and leafs are drying out... can I chop it now or should I wait a little more.

Top buds ripen faster than the lower ones,
To make the most of your plants I suggest a staggered harvest
Harvest the most ripe buds first and then wait another week before harvesting the rest
Drying leaves are not a big issue as long as you keep your environment fairly dry and cool
