What water is everyone using?
I've been using spring water at pH 6.5 because my taps reading 8.3. Should I purchase a pH up/down? Also I'm growing in soil & heard pHing is not necessary just let tap water sit for 48hrs?

Alright pal, got some exp with this. My water is hard, not as hard as yours though, usually about 7.1 - 7.4 out the tap. I got an essentials ph pen and ph down, literally 4-6 drops in 4 ltrs and it takes it down to 6.5. Regarding soil, yes it does ph it to a degree and leaving it out for 24 hrs will rid the chlorine from it. Doesn't bring the ph down enough to 6.5 though. At 8.3 I wouldn't rely on the soil personally because that's the hardest water I've ever seen.

Bronwater is een beetje jammer.. omdat je inderdaad alle goed stoffen zoals calcium en andere mineralen van het kraanwater mist.
Ik ben gewoon voorstander van regenwater, maar als ik dat niet ter beschikking zou hebben, dan zou ik zeker ook voor kraanwater gaan 🙂
Je kan je ph op een natuurlijke manier afzuren, je hebt er zelfs geen fles ph min voor nodig.
Maar ja dat is wel sukkelen, de fles is gemakkelijk🤣

Thanks for the information everyone, I'm using biobizz products light mix soil at the moment, using their nutrients, following their feeding schedule and I believe their products are all organic.
I think for now I will use the spring water until I get the pH down from biobizz, would ideally like to use rain water but just not able to collect at my location.

Depending on if you're growing organically or with synthetics.
With synthetics. Yes. Buy ph down and use your tap water.
Letting tap water sit for 24 hrs gets rid of possible chlorine. Nothing to do with ph.
If you're growing organically. Ph up and down hurt microbes.
So its best to use spring water. But the microbes might buffer your tap water closer to 7. So you might can use tap water with a ph of 8 organically.
