How common is nutrient shock after repotting into All-Mix?

Cheers! I've repeatedly noticed leaf damage after switching from BioBizz Light-Mix to All-Mix, despite not adding nutrients. My Kali Dogs are the latest example: growdiaries.com/diaries/324600-grow-journal-by-therealgrowmie Anyone experienced similar nutrient shock?

I don't know but if that happened simply by potting up and a few days, i'd never boy that medium ever again, lol. But, this was potted up at least 15 days ago according to diary? I think this is something that has happened in the meantime and nothing to do with potting up..If you haven't fed since then, i'd wager that's the issue. Since it took a long time to display symptoms, i'd also lean toward deficiency rather than toxicty or 'nutrient shock' Also, any defoliation for the sake of defoliation made it less robust to what has ensued since, too. Leaves are like hit points in a video game in that respect. You'd still see issues, but there'd be more room for error fixing it. ensure your pH is fine.. get it on a regular, conservative and balanced fertilizng program to start... The symptoms sure aren't orthodox. starting at lower and mid level leaves (at least partially mobile)... crunchy on ends, first, then spreading and curling... it should be coinciding with some other symptoms to match up to either low k or low mg, but those aren't seen. Mb? if so would more likely be pH than an actual matter of low trace elements. maybe the coco wasn't properly buffered, but if you've used the all-mix elsewhere, you know about this already.

Yes, All-Mix is quite hot and often has way too much Nitrogen, I stopped using it after it almost killed some autos. Just to be sure; you know there are different feeding schedules for Light-Mix and All-Mix, right? Don't feed Grow/Fish the next couple of waterings, but give it a good dose of Alc-a-Mic and maybe spray it as a foliar once or twice at lights out.

Hi there, Since you’re not adding any nutrients, I’d first look at watering and root-zone conditions rather than assuming nutrient burn. All-Mix is already pre-fertilized, so I wouldn’t add anything else or flush the pot without a clear reason. Let the top layer dry slightly between waterings, make sure the pot drains well, and avoid keeping the medium constantly wet. Check the pH if possible and monitor the new growth over the next few days. If the fresh leaves continue to develop symptoms, the root zone may need further investigation.

Good afternoon, I'm having the same problem... for me it's excess nutrients... just water with pH adjusted between 6.2 and 6.5. These damages are no longer reversible.

I would say 70% of da time a few leaves turn yellow. 40% some die and 1% Failure.

Yes, this is common. BioBizz All-Mix is a pre-fertilized 'hot' mix with much more nutrition than Light-Mix, so even with no added nutrients young roots can get burned, which fits the yellow-brown spots and crispy edges in your photos. Feed only plain water at pH 6.0-6.5 for the first 3-4 weeks and don't add any bottled nutrients until the plants show they need them. Try to move plants in stages (small pot, then All-Mix only in the final pot), or mix the All-Mix with about 20-30% perlite to dilute it.

Never had any issues with all mix, was replanting in middle of flower, not once, still went through easy. Had loads of issues with light mix, stopped using it even for seedlings.

I mixed soil too hot before. The symptoms didn't look like that.
