Is compost a beneficial inoculant for a depleted and “dead” soil ( almost dust ) ?

Good fertilzer but not enough for dusty soil. They disappear too quickly and don't hold water. I blend in compost with coconut husk to help with soil texture. Depends on the microbes, coconut husk last longer.

of course compost is a good amendment , anything organic is basically good, problem is compost can get a little hot so i would dillute it in some water and add it in that way, because it's very easy to underestimate biological amendments like that. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@Spinnnn adding any organic matter into depleted soil will be beneficial to helping it "Come back to life" I would personally add 2parts compost and 1 part manure plus a handful of Lime Mix it all up with the old soil & then let it Mature for a few weeks keeping it moist but not too wet . the bacteria will begin to break down and you'll notice new life coming back 👍

Hi, i'm not a pro but my first grows i only used depleted/dust soil. I added some dried fertilizer and water to "reactivate" the soil so i guess compost will do the trick also.
