Shaman

I need to run this cultivar again to make a fair assessment. Unfortunately I made too many mistakes to really show this cultivars properties and aromas. What I can say though is even though she had to endure humidity swings and temperature peaks into the 30°C she didn't die. It took her 3 weeks into the humidity swings to start molding which even though she molded I'd say is really resistant. Growing her was easy or would have been in the right environment. For me and my problems she threw a lot of nanners due to immense stress and later even put out some seeds. With all this going on she still fattened up like crazy which was bad for the mold situation but good in any other case. She had really nice smells during flower which evaporated in a good amount due to high temperatures. The heavier notes remain though. All in all I'd have to grow this one again for a fair assessment because right now with nanners, seeds and mold it just doesn't look good but that was mainly my decision to grow in spring and summer which I regret.

Dutch Passion Shaman The cultivation was a lot of fun for me and was easier than I initially thought. Both needed a bit of attention towards the end. It is a robust outdoor variety with an enchanting scent of wildflower meadows, fruity light sour notes, and a pleasantly warm woody background. Whether enjoyed as a tea infusion from decarboxylated flowers or vaporized in a vape, it makes you awake, creative, and sociable. Ideal for old-school cannabis lovers who find the new strong Sativa strains too loud and who wish for an activating cheerful high 'like in the old days'. I will bring it back to my garden.

Mega ladies! Resist resinous large and then also much more! Both trained and almost untouched they do their thing. Due to the cold, many tubers have taken on a beautiful strawberry look! Aromas from sweet to spicy, sandalwood with fruits/berries, very pleasant and not too intrusive.

Update 22.11.2024: The smoke report follows the use of a vaporizer. My stored buds have now lost some of their floral scent after about 6 weeks, but it re-emerges when crushed. At 180° C, a pleasant sweet, floral scent of terpenes varies into a herbal note and becomes nuttier as it is further heated. First, the calming state prevails, which gradually transitions into a relaxed, loosened state. It feels stronger than expected. ------- The Shaman is a very easy plant to grow. I had no problems in the cultivation, during growth, and the main bloom. Only towards the end did some mold develop, which is not unusual in Central Europe. The loss was very minimal. Thanks to @DutchPassion, I will grow it again next year, hoping for a pink-red phenotype. It also grew very well directly in garden soil and during the main heat days. A true outdoor plant. The yields in pots were several times compared to garden soil, but in the garden soil, no plant needed to be tied up, and it required less watering and fertilizing. The plant in the pot needed to be tied and secured; otherwise, it would have fallen over on several stormy days, and that in a large pot that was additionally weighted down with stones. It is easy to trim, and the buds are also good to harvest and trim. Initially, it has a very nice floral, sweet scent while drying. The scent of the later harvest in October is significantly weaker. The matured smell for me is only slightly floral, but rather mossy, forest-like. The smoke is smooth. While the Durban Poison has little effect on the body, you feel it noticeably with the Shaman at first, but it is then overshadowed by the Sativa heritage. It feels stronger than the indicated content.

It grew well. It wasn't a fan of compacted soil, but it made due with what it had. I accidentally broke a branch pretty bad, which made it susceptible to botrytis.

She grew like a champ most of the grow. Big fan of this strain.

My review of the strain: The only flaw to this strain is lack of purple hues in flowers im my phenotype ( i have lost the genetic lottery). The size and height of this strain were perfect for my growing conditions, It was not too tall or too short, and it had a healthy appearance throughout the entire growth cycle. There were no signs of overeating, burns, or any other stress-related issues throuout the cycle . The flowers are long and airy with medium size buds, which remind me of Indica strain. The buds are visually appealing and have pleasant aroma. Speaking of the aroma, this strain has a fresh, green, pine, spicy, and slightly lemony scent. The aroma is not overpowering, but it was noticeable and enjoyable. Finally, the high of this strain develops slowly and is initially energetic. However, it eventually mellowed out into a pleasant aura that left me feeling relaxed and happy.

Really enjoyed growing this strain outside. I took me 22 weeks from seed to harvest in western Europe. If the climate would had allowed me, I would had flowerd them for another 2 weeks. But I still had decent dried buds for an early harvest.

I love the Shaman its the §rd time i grow her outdoors, I had to cut her 3 weeks earlier, because she was growing to close under the roof ( touching the Plastic for weeks and got some mold

I confess that I bought this strain because it is cheaper and if there was any problem, I would not lose so much.

Shaman is an adventure for sure, and lives up to its reputation as a classic Sativa that thrives in outdoor conditions. Shaman is exciting to watch in early stages as it develops rapidly and grows tall and strong. Although I gotta very small bit of rot, I rate it’s resistance as strong given the intense amount of rain and humidity she endured in the late flowering stages. Although I was hoping for some purple colour, it is dependant on pheno and I am very happy with the green one. Shaman has only a medium thc content, but don’t let this put you off if you are considering growing this strain. It works!! No problem about that.

Great Strain. Fits 100 Percent to Norhtren Europe. She starts very early to Flower and you can Finish her Outdoors. Today I harvested the Smaller Plant. And she shows enormous dense, Purpelish , Heavy Smelling Buds. Very Recommendable , very well acclimated Strain

It was an easy Strain to grow , She loved training and Produced a nice number of BIIIIG Buds, no popcorn Only Big Buds and a few smaller ones. Very economic Plant, just a small Bowl of Fanleaves , and a Bowl of Sugarleaves.

This was an incredible grow, the plant did above and beyond what i expected. The 15 gallon smart pot was wonderful but I'd be interested to see how it would do as an in ground plant, if it would have handled the dry climate better. Something to test out later. It had great yields for how little direct sunlight it got and handled the outdoor elements perfectly. Even though the plant next to it had a surplus of bugs on the leaves this plant managed to stay fairly resistant. I think for the next outdoor season I need to learn about predatory insects vs pests.

Really love this strain taste and effect will regrow even if no purple phenotype this time, a very few flower surrounding the main nodes turned purple still. I've already grown this strain in the past and really love it. Last time i've grown some i had more luck with clearly purple phenotypes Nota: - a very few hermi flower on some phenotype (in the end got 4 seeds out of 3 plant) - got one "dr grinspoon" alike phenotype out of three plants - a plant best grown from clone once you selected a good phenotype mother imho, or in large amount from seed, as phenotypes could be a bit disparate
