Grand Daddy Purple is a feminized 100% indica strain. He is very popular on the West Coast, where he was born. It gives a feeling of relaxation, helps to relieve pain and diseases associated with the nerves. His parents are also indica strains-Big Bud and Purple Urkle.
The strain got its name because of the purple color of the buds during flowering. It is well suited for novice gardeners, but it is sensitive to environmental changes. It can be grown outdoors, but is best grown indoors, where humidity and temperature can be controlled. In such conditions, Grand Daddy Purple blooms for 56-63 days. Smoke gives a soft relaxing high, light euphoria and a hungry feeling. The taste of smoke is berry, sweet, and grape.

GDP @ILGM is a easy strain to grow I had to move her outside and she really thrived very pest resistant ️, heat resistant ️ along with that she was in a 1 gallon pot so she really did well. She produced some fat buds that had them trichomes sparkling ️ in the sunlight! This particular lady didn't find some purple until close to end but she did find some. Really smooth and relaxing smoke.

This was a beautiful plant but I’m only giving it 3/10 stars because I found a couple true pollen sacks mid-end flower. Seems to be pretty typical of ILGM seeds unfortunately and I will not be growing them again. Other than that it had nice bud production and density, nice smell and smoke and pretty covered in trichomes.

Was a very easy, quick grower especially in veg these plants moved along quickly and very consistently in my 2 seeds I popped. But the plants ended up being hermaphrodites as did one of my other seeds from ILGM... as well as a couple seeds that didn't even germinate. I've grown in these conditions with much better results.. the smoke wasn't awful, smells nice but plenty of seeds to go along with it which may be growers error but again.. hasn't happened to me previously so the genetics may have some of the blame here. Either way the plan is to press rosin or make edibles so its not a total waste.

Bushy plants, but what would you expect with an Indica. Could've also been that I placed my light too close - still new at this. The smells and colas look great. Plants are drying in the tent...updating review when I have more to say.

Just started the cure. But this strain produced a boat load of buds. And the smell from these are loud After cure Smoke report: semi sweet tasting, berry like flavor. Real smooth, rush of euphoria, followed by relaxation and lots of smiles. Great quality strain

Extremely strong indica. I can’t really use this one in the daytime without it spacing me out for hours, it really hits you pretty hard. Huge amount of couch lock even without amber trichomes (natural, strain-induced couch lock from CBD). Great relaxing or night time strain.

Really nice genetics. Growing was easy. They took plenty of nutrients and had no issues. Buds are nice and dense. It took about 6 weeks of curing for the flavor to really come out-- light and sweet and just a little fruity. Buds are strong and very much a bedtime smoke.

I love this strain. Wow it is a very powerful heavy indica. This was the first really sleepy weed I’ve grown and really that’s my main use for medical cannabis. I love how relaxed and sleepy it can make you. If you like indica, definitely give this strain a shot.
