Critical Kush

Absolute keeper for people like me who love fruity notes! At first glance, the plants seem just "meh" because they don't get as frosty as some other genetics. However, they turn a beautiful color (at the right temperatures) and develop wonderfully thick buds that more than make up for it! Super intense fruitiness during the flowering phase, which during drying and especially curing (due to the intensity) almost borders on being unpleasant. Honestly: It regularly ends up being the last one left in my multi-genetic grows because I feel a bit grossed out by the intensity during curing/burping. But at the latest after grinding, you realize: You were so wrong! No, it's not too much, it's just right! And I mean just right, in every way: Beautifully resinous, intense vape with great flavor, then a long-lasting head high, extreme relaxation & intense couch-lock. Definitely not for social gatherings, more for unwinding on already stressful days. But also your best buddy when you have nothing to do and just want to chill!

English: Final Review - Critical Kush (RQS) Foreword Please excuse the late update. I didn't keep a perfect log during the grow, so I am entering all the data now, a few months after the harvest. Problems & Learnings This second indoor run was a massive learning experience: • Germination: It was way too cold at the start. Learning: I will always use a heat mat from now on. • Nutrients: I made the mistake of mixing different nutrient brands. I also realized I'm not a fan of top-dressing, especially since I use a mulch layer to keep the soil moist. • Water Issues: I experienced a nutrient lockout due to my tap water's Ca/Mg ratio. It has very high Calcium and is nowhere near the 3:1 ratio. Learning: I will use Epsom salts (bitter salt) in the future to balance the water. • Timing: The harvest coincided with my summer vacation. This was a major planning error that I will avoid in the future. • AI vs. Intuition: I relied too much on ChatGPT instead of listening to my intuition. Experience comes from watching the plant, not just the screen. Smoke Report I grow for medical purposes, so the effect is my priority; flavor is secondary. • Flavor: Herbal, woody, with notes of pine. • Effect: Excellent for muscle relaxation and pain relief. It is a heavy "couch-lock" strain. Be prepared for serious munchies! Harvest & Yield I didn’t record the final dry weight, but the yield was satisfying despite the issues. The potency was officially tested at Cannafair 2025: • Early Harvest (Pre-vacation): 26% THC. • Late Harvest (Post-vacation): 23% THC. Deutsch: Abschlussbericht Critical Kush (RQS) Vorwort Zuerst möchte ich um Verständnis bitten, dass dieser Report erst mit einigen Monaten Verzögerung vervollständigt wird. Ich habe die Dokumentation während des Grows nicht sauber geführt und pflege die Daten nun nachträglich ein. Probleme & Learnings Mein zweiter Indoor-Run war eine steile Lernkurve mit einigen Hindernissen: • Keimung: Zu Beginn war es viel zu kalt, was die Keimung verzögert hat. Learning: In Zukunft werde ich immer eine Heizmatte verwenden. • Düngung: Ich habe den Fehler gemacht, Dünger verschiedener Hersteller zu mischen. Zudem habe ich gemerkt, dass ich kein Fan von Top Dressing bin – besonders, weil ich eine Mulchschicht nutze, um das Austrocknen der Erde zu verhindern. • Wasserchemie: Ich hatte mit einem Nährstoff-Lockout zu kämpfen. Mein Leitungswasser hat kein optimales Calcium-Magnesium-Verhältnis (weit entfernt von 3:1) und einen zu hohen Calcium-Anteil. Learning: Künftig arbeite ich mit Bittersalz im Gießwasser, um das Verhältnis auszugleichen. • Urlaubsplanung: Die Ernte fiel genau in meinen Sommerurlaub. Das war organisatorisch extrem schwierig und wird nächstes Mal besser getimt. • KI vs. Intuition: Ich habe mich zu sehr auf ChatGPT verlassen, anstatt auf meine eigene Intuition und Erfahrung zu vertrauen. Man lernt am meisten, wenn man die Pflanze selbst liest. Rauch-Report (Smoke Report) Da ich die Sorte aus medizinischen Gründen anbaue, steht die Wirkung für mich an erster Stelle; der Geschmack ist zweitrangig. • Geschmack: Kräuterartig, in Richtung Nadelholz und Pinie. • Wirkung: Perfekt für meine Bedürfnisse. Die Critical Kush wirkt stark körperlich entspannend, hilft hervorragend gegen Schmerzen und ist definitiv eine „Couch-Lock“-Sorte. Warnung: Der Fresskick ist garantiert! Ernte & Ertrag Obwohl ich das genaue Gesamtgewicht nicht mehr notiert habe, bin ich mit dem Ertrag sehr zufrieden. Besonders stolz bin ich auf die Potenz, die auf der Cannafair 2025 offiziell getestet wurde: • Teilernte 1 (vor dem Urlaub): 26 % THC. • Teilernte 2 (nach dem Urlaub): 23 % THC.

Super chunky & stinking buds, awesome

Nice plant to have, full of trichomes! Really incredible and very heavy smell, love this strain a lot! Takes Topping and LST pretty well, although in the beginning it seemed to be trailing because I took away too many leaves! Handle with care, but great plant!

Grew easily, producing a good amount of wet bud- definitely a smoke for night time, its a wonder I got this posted on schedule.

If you want resin and buds strong as diamonds Critical Kush is your strain, buds shined like diamonds, the resin looked like humid drops and when dried the weight is much higher compared to others, with a same size bud in a grinder you get more weed and joints are biggers!

This is all three of the girls I cut down 2 weeks ago. All were excellent, smoked real nice.

This one was undoubtedly the pride and joy of the grow and a big thank you to RQS again for the beans: 1:. If u followed her neighbour grow (northern lights) then you know the CK was a bit of a bully. She grew strong and dense, crowding out the other plant in the cabinet. It took 4 months to grow this plant out and that pales in comparison to the 9 it took my wife to grow another human (for the second time). It’s for this reason that the harvest report is delayed as I wasn’t about to sample the all-time best of our harvests with my grow partner in the penalty box. All told, we timed it pretty close😉👍 and further details will follow shortly. Update - Taste/Smell/Effects🍭🍭🍭🍭 We agree, it’s only a 2 week cure (so subject to change) but we’re getting a smooth, woody kinda flavour and the smell is definitely coming out as earthy and somewhat herbal 😉. Effects - it’s only getting 4/5 lollipops because it’s not cured yet and profile isn’t fully developed. It hits pretty heavy and almost immediately. Starts very cerebral and sativa-like (which is interesting). It then shifts to a more “buttery”, relaxing, light body stone showing the indica dominance. I wouldn’t say it’s debilitating couch lock and haven’t had effects like these since the last diesel strain we grew out. More mind bendy and less couchlocky than the diesel for sure. Exactly what’s been needed recently. Perfect👌👌👌

Average to above average genetics that should be given a more experienced hand to yield maximum quality (and quantity). With the sativa leaning phenotype, expect abundant yields of gassy, acrid citrus flowers that have above average bag appeal. Taken down at 58 to 60 days -- the effect is stoney, being initially cerebral. Full body relaxation should be felt shortly after, with the cerebral effect fading after an hour or two. High lasts three to four hours (maybe longer if tolerance is very low). Do not use if you need to be alert or mentally sharp. Growing notes: This phenotype likes cooler temperatures, especially late in flower. Definitely an overall light feeder that needs a boost of CalMag in Weeks 2 to 4 of flower. Does not respond well to recommended dosage of powerful bloom boosters. In these growing conditions (noted in the journal) flowering should take 60 to 70 days. I believe the effect would be more narcotic the closer to 70 days you take her.

Excellent strain, crispy, sticky nuggs of dense gooey goodness. Extremely smelly buds.
