Chopped them today, great coloring so far, really excited to see how they turn out by the end. There weren't any issues this week as it was just a flush and a few days of darkness. I've got to get better at lollipoping and maintaining the skirt in the future. Definitely a lot of wasted energy and nutrients going into flowers that never budded out.

Hello growmies! Welcome to week 9... which is the final week for these utterly rapid F1 hybrids from Royal Queen Seeds. Day 60: Well well well, while doing a quick loupe check I realised these ladies were about ready! So they were harvested and are currently drying! Harvest update to follow after dry. It is sort of hard to see the amber trichs under the microscope because in the actual buds themselves is where they were most developed, but it was easy to see with the loupe, and you can see some here and there on the sugar leaves and many "on the turn" and yellowing. Anyway they are drying now... and I have REALLY BIG NEWS. Sorry I didn’t upload week 5 Ngl it was a bad week i suffocated 4 plants I had to defoliate some leaves because of nutrient defeincies making the plant look diseased I managed to pull through there back healthier again I got a few yellow spots but there goint but other then them 4 there’s some nice bud and bud spots really starting to come through excuse the 4 shittier looking plants and the defoliated skimpy one! Other then those problems that I have resolved I’m happy again last week not so this week happy!!! It’s all trial and error first go I haven’t trained any plants I will do on my next grow definitely!

*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. Good progress this week. Pistils changing colour nicely. Just waiting for the trichomes to go milky then it's chop time.

Day 132 - 22.09.2020 - Pic updates. Now that my other plant got the boot, this lady has more space. I put up the trellis net to move the branches slightly and get better light penetration. Day 134 - 24.09.2020 - Pic updates. Her lower leaves are starting to yellow which is concerning. I am keeping an eye on her. Day 138 - 28.09.2020 - Pic updates. So definitely concerned. I went out and got the items I needed to start brewing a compost tea as she was yellowing more and looking a bit sad. Even though all my nutes have been given and the PH is right, I do not know why she is having these issues, but I am hoping a nice compost tea will get her back. Other than that she needs to put on more weight. But of the little buds that are there, they are dense as can be. So I am happy with what I see quality wise so far. I will be checking her in more detail later to see what the trichomes are doing, but when I checked quickly we were still very clear.

She's getting tall! I'm excited to watch the colors she hopefully picks up during her grow. That is the main reason I picked this strain for her purple genetics. I hope to make future colorful crosses using her and the purple Zkittlez phenotype I already have.

The first week of flowering is here, and things are finally looking much better! Both plants have recovered well and are now growing much healthier.🌱 #1 has already started stretching significantly, really picking up speed. It’s exciting to see how quickly it’s developing! Meanwhile. #2 spent about half the week still in vegetation, but towards the end, I finally spotted the first signs of flowering. Now that both are officially in bloom, I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to develop over the next weeks. On to the next phase! 😊
