Exciting news: we’ve added a new member to our grow tent – a praying mantis! 🦗 Her species is Timor shield mantis, and she still needs a name. We decided to get her to help with pest control naturally. Praying mantises are excellent predators and can help keep unwanted insects away from our plants. Feel free to suggest a name for her! Any tips or fun facts about keeping a mantis in the grow tent are also welcome! Day 54 (First Grow): Hey everyone! Big update today: we’ve switched the timer to a 12/12 light cycle to initiate the flowering phase! 🌸 Our plants have developed a nearly complete and dense canopy, and we believe they’re ready to start blooming. This change should encourage them to shift their energy towards producing buds. For those following along, here’s a quick recap: We've implemented a SCROG net to manage the canopy and ensure even light distribution. We've introduced a Timor shield mantis for natural pest control. The plants have responded well to all adjustments and are looking healthy. I have noticed some weird things like boated packaging, off gassing and weird consistency with the nutrient line up so far and been in contact with the reps online about it, They said everything is normal and not to worry. Another new thing with this grow is how it will be grown under the new LED's by Medic Grow. They will be under two of their MINI-SUN 2 240W LED grow lights using their V1 Spectrum, Its good from seed to harvest. You can find more information about this in the foot note. Just going to wait for another week till It pops up and will update as follows. Watered in with PH of 6.2 and a EC of 0.6 or 340ppm 500 scale. This is part of a 5 part diary in conjunction with medic grow led lights, in the beginning it was to be 6 plants but one of the selected strains died out and its replacement/backup seeds also failed. Harvested BB2 and GG2 on day 84 with mostly cloudy/milky trichomes and scattered amber because I prefer the Sativa daytime buzz. I think these two are further along because they showed the deficiencies. Both were flushed twice within a week and chopped with a dry pot. Last nutrients were day 73. Nothing but PH 6.4 water since day 76. I expect to harvest BB1 and GG1 at around day 92, checking trichomes everyday. I'm guessing the yield will be greater for the second two. Will post harvest pics and videos for each set of two plants after drying and getting dry weights for each plant.

I was going to install a second trellis net, but decided to just use the single net and do some HST on her to keep her canopy opened up. 6/13- I gave the Wedding Cheesecake FF a good watering today at sundown via the garden hose with straight well water. I am planning on top dressing her in roughly 7-10 days from now with a blend of 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with some worm castings in anticipation of the start of flowering in the near future. 6/16- I watered today and also did a little canopy maintence, removing some leaves that were old and yellowing, along with some small shoots that would have only produced small larfy buds. There's another week chalked up and it won't be long until this lady begins pre-flowering which will mark the start of the real excitement! Not much to say this week. Back on trak with feeding,colour is coming back and flowers are filling up. Chiba 1 flowers are huge domes,really round and fat. I hope they just grow up and out some more. Number 2 is also pushing some great flower with 2 main colas and loads of little node growth underneath, also 2 clones are well into flower and are doing great, Love this plant. Feeding is up to 1.7 every other feed is nutes and water inbetween. Thanks for looking. Stay safe and happy growing.

The weather at the beginning of the week was still pretty bad so I kept the plants inside for three more days. After that, the sun appeared and the temperatures rised a lot! I finally put the plants outside! 😎

Over all Forbidden Runtz is a beautiful lady. She had a few issues in the beginning with the development and growth, but in the end she came out great.

pretty easy week again. The purple haze plants got moved up front after they got the leat strip. Smallest plants in the tent and they were in the back, now there up front where I can take better care of them. The buds are starting to develop and are looking nice. Can't wait to see how they turn out. Happy growing

Week 12 comes with no issues. Humidity dropped to 35-45% and temps increased a couple degrees both during the light and dark period due to weather change. Feed remained the same. Autoflower plant is harvested so they got a little more space in the tent now.
