A good week overall! Started out a bit rough, as I noticed some yellowing on the oldest leaves. Unclear exactly what the issue is/was. I'm using soil with organic fertilizers, so over-nutrient seems unlikely to me (very little readily available nutrients, all slow-release, only two waterings up to that point). But some folks on different forums think it may be nutrient burn. Alternatively, it could just be lack of light on these leaves (they are very shaded) and touching the soil. Regardless, while researching I noticed that my humidity was way down, hovering nearing 35%. The tent is in a dehumidified basement so this makes sense. Based on VPD charts this seemed non-ideal for the plant, so I added a small humidifier and a RH PID controller. Humidity stays around 55-60% now, which is a nice compromise between keeping humidity up in the tent and not fihgting the basement dehumidifier too much. I also drilled some holes in the container to help air out the soil faster... a DIY janky airpot :) Throughout the rest of the week, LST ties were adjusted and heavily obscured leaves were pruned off. I also started pruning off bud sites that were pointing downwards, in an effort to reduce clutter and wasted resources. All in all, she's looking pretty good. I'll probably flip in the next week or so. I would love to give it some more time to veg, but have a schedule I need to keep later this fall. This strain supposedly flowers in 6-7 weeks, so we'll see :)

Harvest day - I save my harvest post for the yield results so I have one more to follow. Beautiful grow though and really impressed with the yield and results. I typically only grow indoors, this is my first full outdoor grow with a photo actually. It definitely changed how I view growing seeing the plants react outdoors. Also I’m in newly legal NY state and we would not be here today if it wasn’t for people like Jack Herer fighting for us at the most difficult times to do it. Jack was born in Buffalo, NY so this grow was a grow to pay homage to a man that led the way. This strain has also won the 2nd most cannabis cups behind only Skunk #1 a strain well deserving of the Jack Herer name.

Week 10 Flower 6 Runtz is in her last week; I started the week off 3/10 with water and feed. On her next water day, I started adding ice to the top of the pot 3/12 I added ice to the top of the pot and watered 2 ltr with PH6.7 3/13 Ice on the top of the pot 3/14 more ice and 2 ltr Ph 6.67 3/15 she was feeling light so I watered 2ltr 6.5 water. Apparently she is still drinking and many not be fully ready. Runtz is maturing almost as fast as the blue cheese gals and faster than the other strains in the tent. After flushing excess nutrients out of the soil and plant, Runtz is showing fade and nutrient usage in the upper leaves. The buds are stacking fatter and packing on more resin on the buds which are sticky and hard. The stems are strong and support the heavy buds. I used a microscope and got some good trichome shots. The trichomes are mostly milky and some clear ones remaining. Some purples show in the leaves. The older pistils are turning orange brown. Some new white hairs are still forming. This week went pretty well, other than she stretched like crazy and I am now getting worried about running out of vertical space. I also had a few of my bottom leaves get a few brown and yellow spots on them. I did post some pics and asked a question, thank you for the responses, much appreciated! I am thinking about adding my Spyder Farmer LED 100 Watt light into the tent for the nebula auto because it is about 23 inches shorter than the sour diesel. I believe it would only raise my temp about 2 degrees, and possibly lower the humidity by one or two percent. I must say my dehumidifier has been a freaking stud, running 24X7 and not complaining. I should look into adding another unit, it has been in the mid 90's and muggy for about a week. So far I have to say I am super impressed and excited with this setup, the genetics, and with growing this wonderful plant in general. Already planning ahead to my next grow, and what I can do better. I have been enjoying myself and I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to answer my questions! I am having a blast and am excited to see what this lady will give up in a few weeks!

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 7 Weeks of Flowering Completed 29th march 2020 Here we are at the beginning of the eighth week of Flowering for my Barneys Farm Cookies kush Girls. 😀 They are both looking good Phenotype 1 which is the Indica dominant plant has a higher leaf to calyx ratio than her sister the Sativa dominant phenotype number 2 they both have distinct characteristics to each other such as pheno1 has a sweet smell and more stickiness whilst pheno2 has more of an Earthy smell and is clearly the better looking of the two. Both plants have not had anything for the past 3 days due to the fact that it's been very wet here & the relative humidity is almost at 90% at some times during each day. They don't seem to mind not having been fed or watered which is a bonus as adding more moisture to the environment is not Ideal. So far Zero signs of budrot unlike the other strains I have close to maturity which have all shown a little botrytis forming on some buds. This has given me some hope of being able to let both girls grow right thru until optimum maturity, whereas the Jack herer , Red diesel and girl scout cookies will all end up being harvested earlier than i would have preferred. Day 100 Day 57 Flower 06/07/24 Saturday Flushed with de-chlorinated tap water today pH 6.0. Flushing using 10L of water with Flawless finish- I'll be using this every other flush. , getting 50% run off, I can't measure ppm, I have ordered the tool to start learning this way also. I haven't measured run off ppms before so will be interesting to see. Smelling pungent, deep greens of colour coming through, hoping over the next 2 weeks she swells as she is not as dense as I was hoping 😅 Day 10day 58 Flower 07/07/24 Sunday No feed /water today letting her dry off a little more. Updated with a short 🤩💚 Day 102 Day 59 Flower 08/07/24 Monday De-chlorinated tap Water 5L pH 6.0 + 3L Water +calmag 5ml to keep her from deficiency during 1st week of flush. Updated a short video 😁 She's getting there. Day 103 Day 60 Flower 09/07/24 Tuesday No water, letting her dry off again ABIT, noticing a huge amount of trichome production, updated a short to see 😍. Day 104 Day 61 Flower 10/07/24 Wednesday Another 10L flush today , de-chlorinated tap water pH 6.0 with flawless finish. 10ml flawless finish to 10L water. Updated pictures and video. Day 105 Day 62 Flower 11/07/24 Thursday Last day of the week, another big flush today! 10L de-chlorinated tap water pH 6.0 with 10ml Flawless finish 👌 Trichomes...😍 She maybe a 21 day flush we'll see how she goes next week with ripening. Smell kind of strawberry champagne And sorbet. Super sweet And fruity.definitely 9 week. In week 5-7 start to put some weight on it but in 7-9 still put more and more 3 layer of trellis and they didn’t make it :))) all of them start to fall down. A little problems in veg cuz I was using organic guanokalong than I switched to mills (the best I think in the European market at least) they to great results. I was using them before, I was growing zkittlez than and same shit fucking great results,I definitely recommended mills full line. Try it and see for your self.I hope that post help you in a way other and you make an idea how that strain develops in flower. Oh yah she stretched till week 4-5 so be aware when you put them in flower. For ipm program I use atlantica full line all of them bio extracts and they make it. I was fighting with trips and you all know how hard is to fight with them. Not even 1 sign of trips after a few weeks of atlantica ipm. Anyway I definitely recommend this strain and I will grow again and again alongside with others for sure.
