Week thirteen for Nori Cake. Day 39 of 12/12. She's just doing her thing and despite some watching and watering there wasn't much to do this week :) Really love this phase of a plants life, when all the work is showing in a steady progress and the most needed thing is patience.

I put the plants into an NFT system couple weeks ago. I could have waited a bit longer for the plants to develop a stronger root system before placing the rockwool cubes into NFT but I was being impatient because of the slow start and wanted to get the plants under proper light. Now two weeks later they are growing well with good root development. I switched the lights to flowering cycle about a week ago so they should start stretching soon. No preflowers yet.

Hi Growmies, My apologies for the delayed update, but work life balance got a bit out of wack recently. Anyways, water was changed on time and general maintenance took place. Continued with very light defoliation to really guarantee that all the shoots get equal light exposure. She is turning out to be a real beauty and literally no Scr.O.G was necessary due to her natural structure. Buds are already forming very compact and dense to touch, something that’s always a good sign ;) Since this is my first proper DWC grow I am actually quite impressed by the root growth and the resulting nutrient uptake, as well as vigor in plant growth. Is it btw just me or is this website getting slower, buggier and laggier by the day? Videos won’t upload, weeks don’t reflect, diaries won’t update….

12/29/21 - Welcome to Week 6! We are almost there. The plants are really showing off colors of yellow, orange and purple. The buds are getting larger and more dense. We fed the plants with the nutrients listed above. 12/30/21 - We are on track for a good harvest. Today is Day 44. We think it’ll be within the 55-60 day mark for harvest. We are just about ready to flush and use regular water for awhile. The buds are huge and very dense. Check out todays video! 12/31/21 - Wow… So frosty and dense! We are excited for harvest. So far so good! We have lots of purple buds. Happy New Years Eve. 1/1/22 - Happy New Year! They are looking really good this year ;) We are done with nutrients and we are going to water with phed water only. We might run Sledgehammer once or twice to get more of a flush. 1/2/22 - Day 47! The plants are on track. We are getting some massive tops with big chunks of purple on the buds. Such beautiful plants! 1/3/22 - We are loving the colors! We have a few weeks left. Harvest time is coming quick and we are getting everything ready for it. We are going to use an iPower bowl trimmer and toss all the popcorn in the bowl to be used for scented topicals. 1/4/22 - Looking really good today. We are just watering with plain water and the buds are like rocks. We have a ton of work ahead of us lol. It’ll be worth it!

I thought the ladies would have another 2-3 weeks left in veg, but started to notice pistils forming within the last couple of days. So flower will most likely start to begin within the next week, I’m guessing I may see a couple oz per plant come harvest day. Not bad for first time grow & using autos, from what I’ve heard a lot of people do not recommend learning with autos due to how quickly their state can change depending on what you do with them. There are some things I wish now I would have done a bit different within the last couple of weeks, I can’t help but wonder how much bigger they’d be if I did not do any defoliation at all. But I have been combating flies bad and made the call to defoliate mainly for that reason. Started to cut back on veg foods and introduce flower foods and sugars to their diet. Humidity levels still at a steady decrease, aiming to have humidity down in the 30s come flower time. Will be going on vacation for a week soon, so fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong. Will be having a good friend of mine come by every couple of days to FaceTime me and make sure everything is handled as well as possible when the time comes.

As you can see, we might have a couple weeks left She's startin a pack on some serious weight up top.. I i've been giving hers the green sensation by Plagron nutrients and as you can see, she's got a big old top.. Every bit of a foot plus... Hope everyone is doing well, shout out to Zamnesia Seeds.. Talk about a mission accomplished, dam you Lamby… you had me excited at one point when I thought you were an auto, but to my shock, you are a regular, you just have a long ass flowering window… at least unlike her sisters within the 4th cycle, she did not reveg she just focused on flower, the buds are bulky and firm, scent is amazing, you would mistake her for a cheese strain. I should not be disappointed by the plant’s size! Because I planted her during winter, and all outdoor or greenhouse(unless you have a GH that is climate controlled), do not grow as big as the would during spring or summer season, and due to this factor, I only got 59g of wet bud. But I have faith the other ladies will produce a higher yields. Last I smoke this strain was earlier late summer or early Autumn, and from smoking to growing now harvest, I wish I am blown out the water with this strain, it’s time to conduct that questionnaire. Or even better go to an established cannabis club, and get them to samples bud, and ask for a review.
