16.4.25: I have retied the fabric ties again, as they're growing like crazy. Trying to open up the plant, to grow out as well as up. This will also create new colas. At this stage, I'm trying not to over fertilise like I did with the last grow. Focusing on Cal-Mag amino acids and Mega Crop Part A. The medium is my custom super soil, which is already fertilised with Ecothrive dry amendments. So I could just add water. However, as we've already run into deficiency, that would be careless. I find it easy to keep an eye on the plants and carefully inspect them daily to act quickly when issues arise. Learning how to determine the issue is what I'm still learning, which is the hard part 😅 It's all fun though, and I'm really enjoying this grow with all the toppings and FIMs. So far so good! 21.4.25: Hope everyone had a great 420! Northern lights is absolutely beautiful, great structure. I'm determining when to relax the LST as we are now in the beginning of week 3 flower. I do have height. However, I'd like to keep it reasonable. You never know when they will stop growing. I'm not really adjusting any ties since the last time, but I have added an LST clips as one of the middle tops was much talker than the others. I am trying very hard to exercise some much necessary self restraint here! 😅 it is becoming increasingly difficult! I have also noticed that there are signs of Nitrogen excess. Maybe 2 leaves have very thin overlapping blades. Instead of Mega Crop Part A and Cal-Mag amino acids, I will use Bud explosion PK booster with the Cal-Mag. This will make the N5 the only Nitrogen being given. It still may be too much, but will monitor closely to see the effect this change will make, if any. Balancing the nutrients is very important for me to learn, and it's going to be an ongoing process. I watered today with 3 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with the following nutrients: ♡ 1/2 Tsp of Bud Explosion PK booster by Greenleaf nutrients ♡ 5ml Cal-Mag amino acids by Xpert Nutrients 23.4.25: Plant seemed to be drinking heavily, so I watered again with 3 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 with;- ♡ 2.5ml Cal-Mag amino acids by Xpert Nutrients, and ♡ Ecothrive Biosys 1/8 tsp. I removed the plant ties and retied the plant after watering. Less ties are necessary as the plant has moulded and stayed in that structure. 25.4.25: Northern Lights was much overdue for a retie of the fabric ties. After this session of LST, the plant is absolutely huge. I really could easily fill the tent with just her. The fact that this plant could fill out a 4ft² space absolutely proves that autoflowering strains can outdo photoperiods. This particular strain, as well as my RQS Fat bananas, have been an absolute dream to grow. They take training like they're craving it. 😍 Thanks for checking out my diary and hanging out 😃💚✌️🍃😊

I found out i made a big mistake at the beginning, i didnt wash the Coco twice and that resulted in dirty Coco and a ph way too high, the way I fixed it was I Watered with 2.5 L water mixed with 1/4 strength fertilizer, water half the amount wait 3-5 minutes then give the rest, on all of them. I also forgot to mention i have started to give 0.5 ml/ calmag, since the coco take some of it because its inert, you need to give more than in soil. The next day i could See they were taking in the fertilizers and are growing Happy again. I have done more lst, i used gardening wire each 20 cm long, form them like i do The cbd ( crack ) have grown happy all the way through, she is the one I have been most excited about, its for freinds and family, who can't tolerate thc but I think this 1:1 balance, can help them 🙏 @Fast_Buds i hope you guys make a foto of one like this, These medical strains are very important to keep alive. A thing to know about clay pepples is, you need to put them in water that have a ph of 6.0 otherwise they will take the ph level way too much up, trust in your measurement devices more than the soil/coco company saying what the ph Is. Week 7 veg beginning of flower frost banger bangs

Lady is now my tallest and growing strong. She is a heavy drinker now requiring about ~ .3 every 6-8 hours. Heavy P & K early in flower led to slight tip burn. Have been straight watering for the last week and she has bounced back beautifully. I topped her around week 3 she has now outpaced my untopped plant in the tent and has similar strong inter-node spacing. She's slightly dusty(trichomes) early!!!!!!!

Tag 33 - 03.01.2025 Die Orange President zeigt leider einige Mängel. Ich vermute, dass es sich um ein Problem mit Cal/Mag (Calcium und Magnesium) handelt, eventuell auch um einen Stickstoffmangel. Seit kurzem wird der pH-Wert des Wassers angepasst, und bei jedem Gießgang gebe ich Plant BoOoM SiCaMag hinzu. Vielleicht hat jemand von euch Profis noch eine Idee, was die Ursache sein könnte und wie ich am besten vorgehen sollte. Ich freue mich über eure Tipps! 😊

5/25 - Last entry just for completeness since she was technically still alive and kicking on this day. Added a bunch of pics and a vid prior to her chop, which was the night of 5/26 (pics for that will come after she's trimmed). I think she might yield even more than Helen, but we'll see. I can't say enough how fun this entire process has been, and I'm already feeling like an empty-nester without them. Definitely planning to start another grow (Mephisto Double Grape! and maybe another??) in a few weeks, but also thinking of adding additional electricity/outlets first. Not too much else to say here since I haven't been checking pH/ppm since I started "flushing" (my least favorite part of growing lol). I'm drying out a Heather tester bud I accidentally clipped when chopping her, and I'm excited to compare the effects to Helen (which I have been enjoying immensely!!)

Sweet Bourbon Kush is on her way to harvest on the next update. She is being switched to ph water to flush her out. I got a head cold, but last time I could smell. She smelled just like a Bourbon. She turned out great. Plant is doing OK? for 21 days? I am a little unsure because she is simply not stretching but growing good on the side notes. After some discussion on /r/Mephheads I came to the conclusion that I will try to lower the DLI so that the plant stretches because for now there are way to many nodes way to close together. Received my predator mites and added them (the pouch). Increased EC at the end of the week with Universol (high in P) and added some water to the reservoir. Heatwave is coming so next week will be hot in the tent, no way around that. Values are average of the day. I removed the tops that will not get enough light started some basic opening of the canopy and some defoliation. This topdress should help the transition to flower in a weeks time.

Another steady week of bud development. I haven't really done much with those apart from the occasional removal of yellow leaves and tucking nuisance leaves under the net. The plants are all still growing in line with the previous expectations, with Topping and LST being the biggest, Mainlined next and then LST only in last place. It will be interesting to see the results though. Should only be a few more weeks until harvest, as a large majority of trichomes are already milky.

Pretty much same as last week, I had another plant herm and kicked it out of the garden. I’m down to 16/50 seedlings that I had, but I was expecting that, which is why I did so many. Things are looking pretty good though! It does seem as if only some of the branches/colas on some of the plants were pollinated, which apparently is possible? I also started to flush the one girl that is furthest along, I’m thinking she will be ready for harvest within 1-2 weeks based on how fast she’s been progressing.
