I can't believe it's already time! Everything is going perfectly as planned and smell is absolutely incredible. Super strong sweet funky smell... definitely a pleaser. Some of the buds you'll notice have multiple tops and are super wide. That's because I had topped the actual buds to see if it would get more growth on the sides. And sure enough it did. The buds on half of the plant got exponentially larger a tad bit of foxtailing but more density than anything. Great success will for sure do it in the future. overall I'm very happy this run

Day 91

Plants have officially started their flower cycle this week. Gradually increased light wattage from 75% to 100%, originally had the light at 15” but raised to 17” after seeing small signs of light burn. My cheap Amazon PH meter broke after 2 months so I’m currently using the GH PH tester solution - hoping to pick up a Bluelab pen by the end of the week. The green crack has been the fastest growing seed by far! It’s been a bit nerve-wracking defoliating her, I keep having to pull leaves to uncover her flower sites (I know I’ll have to do it again too). One of the LSDs I’m experimenting with- I put about 2 inches of super soil (Subcool’s recipe) on the bottom of the pot and am continuing to feed her on the same regiment as the others. She’s happy with no signs of nute burn! The West Coast OG on the other hand seems to be a light feeder and had a bit of nute burn, so I’ve been going extra light on feeding. As we get deeper into flower, I will be posting more individual photos of each plant so you can see the bud development.

Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. Hello growers day 29 on the balcony with the gorilla glue auto I don’t think she likes living on the balcony not much growth for day 29 but she’s going in the tent soon there’s nearly space for her she will be a lot happier there I’m just bending her over for now no pistols showing yet with is good for me as I want her to get abit bigger so until next week be safe and happy growing ✌️

She’s a bit of a mess after changing res for a flush , will need to sort out something easier next time . Also wish I had scrog to make better use of this little light , Day 83 started a flush , will part harvest in a few days as I’m going away, buds could be better they are somewhat sticky pistils look ready , Ordered a loupe a little late . has been a good learning experience, Notes - don’t over do nutes early - change res more frequently - try lollipop and use a scrog - invest in a higher watt light for yield and tighter bud , - don’t grow near summer heat major issue , autumn and spring more ideal

december 14th gave her a feed of about 6 cups of dechlorinated tap water phd to 6.4 with 1/2 tsp of veg nutes to 3 gallons and 4 2 tsps of calmag to 3 gallons of water. I thought she was initially getting a calmag deficiency but it was just her switching to flower and needing diff nutes ig? I also tested runoff for the first time which i should've done from the beginning but it came out at 6.3 ph december 17th 2021: gave her half a gallon of dechlorinated tap water phd to 6.4 with 1/2 tsp of veg nutes to each 3 gallons of water and 2 tsps of calmag to 3 gallons of water.

Week 13 in the books! was a full flush week, as I will be harvesting mid wk 14. Ive been watching tricomes, taking snipits of sugar leaves, and checking them over. These are 2nd & 3rd gen grows, from prev collected random strains.. In other words, Its always a Surprise as to what strain comes out. Ive got 3 different strains here.. a Sativa looking, a very White strain, and 2 plants of a colorful purplish strain.

D76 - 14 DECEMBER Well, unfortunately once again I had mold problems. Had to chop her early so I´ll trim and hang her to dry today. D90 - 28 DECEMBER Exactly 2 weeks later and the buds are all nice and dry, everything put to cure now with Boveda 58% humidity control packs. The medium-tiny and very tiny buds weighed at 15.1 grams and the medium to big sized nugs weighed at 33.2 totalizing at 48.3 grams. I´m happy with the result, I thought it would be worse. Let´s see how she goes into curing now! 29 JANUARY Finally, after a proper 30 days cure I´ll be doing the strain review. Thank you so much for taking some time to check my diary out. These 2 are growing likes beasts. They will both be going outside in the next 2 weeks or so. Just waiting on overnight temps to stay in the double digits and we are GTG.

Some of the leaves starting to yellow slightly but as it’s coming to the end I think I will let it ride out might give a little pk booster but that’s about it

Неделя пролите очень не заметна, так как заболел и почти не лазил в бокс, даже не поливал 3 дня и не тренил, но вот под конец недели собрался с силами и немного провёл дефулиацию и немного подогнул самые высокие ветви, а так глаз начинает очень радоватся, запаха в боксе нету вообще, но стоит доатать хоть один из бокса и тут начинается легкий запах на всю комнату)

I switched her to ph water yesterday. She has a good cloudy trichromes with just a few amber started. So in roughly a week she should be right about where I want to try it at. She still has some flower, even though I messed her up in vegging. I have been having issues across the board here, and there on different plants. Beside that she smells good, and good trichrome layer. I am just letting her finish up, and will harvest on next update. At day 35 and they have begun to flower. I cut back the amount of nutrients I was using to help with the tip burn. So far so good!
