Flowering day 15 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) This week the ladies developed beautifully 👍. The stretch has started very strongly :-) . Watering was done twice this week with 1.2 l (see table above for nutrients). The heating mat does exactly what it is supposed to do, you can see that the ladies are doing perfectly again 😃. Fresh osmosis water was mixed with tap water in a 100 liter tank so that I would have enough stale water for the coming week 👍. Otherwise everything was cleaned and checked. During the check, I noticed that after spraying neem oil 3 times, there were still a few damn trips to see. I have ordered nematodes for leaf and substrate against tripse. everything is fine, the rains have stopped and it seems that the plants are quite mature, I think I will harvest them next week. It has been 2 weeks without watering with fertilizer, making the washing of roots as natural as possible. They have developed a very beautiful purple color in just 2 weeks, because of the stress caused by the cold. I have also found some worm and some rotten bud but usually it is holding very well. I found a leaf of a very powerful pink color, much more than I had ever seen, and that color is not repeated throughout the plant, I leave some photos. chekit

In a beginner grower pickle... they may look good, and though it seems I may have done everything right through veg, I am almost near sure I messed something up between flower weeks 2-5. They're maturing, but not nearly as much as I thought they would. By now, I imagined they'd have thick bushy white pistils covering at least 6-8 inches of the top of each Cola. So many mysteries. Is it the node spacing? If so, should have flipped earlier. Is it due to nutrient issues (too many nutes? didn't feed as much base as H&G suggested? Too big of a swing while trying to lower medium EC and PH in medium? Too much pruning on the top? The only real variable is the Banana Kush. BK is in the far back left and obviously the most difficult to reach and maintain. Initially last week when I flushed, I wasn't able to flush as adequately as other plants nor have I been able to trim, maintain, or LST as much as other two plants. This is the only plant as of right now that does not give off a chemical/nutrient/ammonia smell when I touch the buds, but rather a nice sweet, Banana smell, and it's bushier than the Trainwrexk and G13 Is it because I didn't trim.as much and the buds are feeding off leaf and stem nutrients? Is it because there are fewer bud sites for the light to concentrate on, and thus yield bigger colas? Or is it because I continued to feed this plant has continued to have a high intake of nutrient despite my best efforts of flushing and maintaing? In any event, I could just be the most impatient person ever, and I hope to be pleasantly surprised in the next week or so, or it's puffy popcorn tops for me. Day 85 Update: G13 has a ton of fan leaves turning fast. Pretty sure it's a PH issue. Should I wait until they're dead to trim them off or get rid of every fan leaf that is affected more than 50 percent of the leaf? Something definitely is going on. Could be nutes, could be lights, could be the strains.. who the hell knows but I thought they'd be much bigger and gurthy by now. They still look good but man I wish they produced more...

Thinking about flipping next week

So at start of week i raised the three smaller plants and evened out the canopy. That lasted maybe two days and then back right took off and is again 6-8" taller than any other plant hahah. Was able to raise the reservoir and the water lines to maintain flow to all the pots. Rest of week was hands off as I had family in town for a few days so just kept the reservoir filled. Last day of the week gave the girls a decent defoliation and adjusted the ties, attempting to fill every spot in the tent. Now there is a slight space in the center, but it will fill in as the girls grow. Starting to get a little worried with how big these girls are getting. Already they are 8-10" bigger than the Night Howler autos I grew last year, and those were my biggest ever with two plants ending ABOVE the lights!! Hope the big one stops soon, but as a precaution I have removed the filter and placed on end of exhaust, gaining another 8" of room to raise the light. Driver also outside tent this run, so will gain 2" over previous ones. Plants are needing a bit more defoliation than normal, with their enormous leaves they fill the tent very quickly! Before defoliation was full shade under canopy, now getting light/air through. Let's see what happens this week, I'm expecting some decent growth from left two plants, hoping to get them off the Milk crates soon and nice to have an even canopy for more consistent bud quality and whatnot. I researched it and watched a lot of videos on YouTube. So I'm going to give it a try. Been a week doing it in a 1 gal jug (fruit punch jug) and it looks good. So I made a 2 gal bucket for my hydro setup. Bucket, air stone and air pump. Got the bucket setup Sunday.. Feeding Calmag 3ml Flora blend 1tsp Grow big power 3/4 tsp Tiger bloom 1tsp Rapid roots starter 6 drops. 3 gal mix Ph 6.0 for hydro.. 6.5 for pot Ppm tds 660ish

Quick kush is called quick for a reason 👌, nice big indica leaves starting to grow and stretch pretty fast, i had to re pot one of the girls so one of them might look a bit sad but she will get better (its the salts) Flushing and Buffering- I am personally using Canna Coco Coir,mix with one brick of plagron coco coir(had one left). 1. Why you Should buffer your Coco. Lets get to reading! (Its Worth it for those that dont know about it) There are cation exchange sites in coco that will interfere with nutrition until they are buffered. The cation exchange sites in coco naturally come loaded with sodium (Na) and potassium (K) cations. However, the Na and the K are only weakly held to the exchange sites. In the presence of calcium (Ca) or magnesium (Mg), the sites will release their Na or K cations and lock onto the Ca or Mg. These processes are known as “cation exchanges”. Buffering coco is accomplished by soaking it in Ca and Mg. This allows the cation exchanges to take place prior to adding plants. Simply soak your coco in a solution of Cal/Mag water and the exchange sites will release their K and Na cations and lock onto the Ca and Mg. When the cation exchange sites bond with Ca and Mg rather than Na and K, it is “buffered”. The bonds that hold the Ca and Mg to the sites are very strong and cation exchange will largely stop. This means that all of the nutrients that you add to the water will be available to the plant at the ratios that you provide them. 2. Alot of growers Grow in Unbuffered coco coir and its a big mistake guys, I myself was a "victim"😬of unbuffered coco and it does cause alot of problems... now i am going to try and fix them! -----GROWING IN UNBUFFERED COCO--- Many growers are unaware of the need to buffer the coco and they try to grow plants in unbuffered coco. In unbuffered coco, the cation exchange sites will strip the nutrient solution of the Ca and Mg and replace those cations with Na and K. This creates a sub-optimal Nutrient Element Ratio (NER) and renders Ca and Mg unavailable to the plant. Failing to buffer the coco is why so many growers suffer calcium deficiencies in coco grows. Manufacturers of prepared coco products try to exploit these problems and convince growers that only their proprietary products are suitable for growing. However, it is actually very simple to properly buffer your coco yourself. This tutorial walks you through the process and provides all the information you need to turn even the cheapest brick of dehydrated coco into a superior growing medium.
