84th day!!! I came back from vacation, the girl has changed, she suffered from extreme heat and wanted water every day, but she only got it every 2 days, but I'm already home and I'll take care of her :) it's strange that this is a tropicana cookies auto strain, she's 12 weeks old - she doesn't flower :D I'll see how it all ends :) good luck to everyone:).

So I had a few issue. I over watered early on, took them out the seed tray early, started feeding them a week or two late, no humidifier yet but they recovered well.

It is developing very well and the buds are starting to grow :-). The week was poured 3 times with 1.1 l each time. once of them GHSC Enhancer was added :-). It's week seven of flowering, and we are slowly approaching the home stretch. The smell in the tent is mindblowing. Unfortunately, the LCG isn't growing as well as the Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle. The buds aren't fully mature yet. Let's hope for the best! 🍋🍋🍋🍒🍒🍒

The plant developed an excellent structure with well-spaced branches and very good light penetration, resulting in evenly matured buds. The flush clearly paid off, as the aroma intensified significantly toward harvest and the flowers developed a clean, strong terpene profile. Bud density is impressive, with tight, heavy flowers showing great resin coverage and a visually striking finish.

Another solid week with more sun, but the plants got kinda shot up from wind. No damage, but after a whole night of wind the plants were leaning a bunch and looked visibly frightened. Strung up the wedding cake for early training and it’s looking a lot better, CC seems to have mostly straightened itself out. Let me know what you guys think!

Día 22. El estirón ha frenado. Las plantas están empezando a llenarse de flores. Se me hace extraño tener las plantas con esta forma, dado que siempre he usado cortes y LST. Se ven bastante bien, aunque cada vez que las miro, me dan ganas de cortarle alguna otra rama. Pero no quisiera mermar el rendimiento. Ya a esta altura sería más.contraproducente que otra cosa. Pero creo que debí haber sacado más ramas de las que saqué. Día 24. Fui un iluso al pensar que el crecimiento había frenado. Hoy ya las plantas tienen 5 cm más que hace dos días. Voy a tener que doblarlas si siguen a este ritmo. Tuve que hacer un video, ya que no tengo lugar para sacar fotos en contra picado. Veo que se están llenando de flores y empiezo a imaginar el resultado final. Día 26. Las plantas crecieron otros 5 cm en estos dos días. Ya estan 65 cm. Me empieza a preocupar, por lo que supongo que voy a tener que doblarlas un poco. Seguramente solamente doble las dos mas altas cruzadas entre si. Vengo ilusionado, pero sospecho que van a ser necesarias entre 7 y 8 semanas. Tuve que agregar solución, ya que había bajado mucho el nivel del depósito, y agregué un poco de bud blood. Voy a seguir usándolo hasta el momento del PK. Seguiré actualizando.

I really enjoy growing and this strain is one I've spent a lot of time on. This is my largest harvest of Gelato Cake and it was only 1 plant, I have harvested 5 at once and just equaled what this one plant did. I feel really good about it thanks to the GD community for the support and diaries to learn from

Its that time of week again for our weekly update. Starting week 7 and im really impressed with this grow. The bud sites are started to form nicely any previous problems I had with her with a PH issue has now gone thankfully. Smells wonderful growing big and strong just trying to work out how much I may get from this plant. Any guesses out there as to what you may think ? 🤔 🌱

End of the second week of the stretch and pretty much as expected. One male has gone off early spilling pollen everywhere. The females Id say are a little behind this one but no real worries - we got another 2 males in there ready and waiting to burst at the right time👍. We’ve now pared down the whole tent for pollination and taken cuttings of each fem. Plant for a separate run. Best part there is that we have 3 identified phenos of both indica and sativa dominant traits so we’re gonna get a really even look at what the genetic has to offer, while at the same time being able to isolate desirable traits in the resulting F2 seed. Pretty sick outcome to date 🔥. We moved over to GHE nutes this week to save the Druid nutes for the fem run in the recirc system. Stronger brand for sure, but similar in value and ease. All told, everything is proceeding far better than expected. The rest is just praying that we found a kickass combination in the polyhybrid mix🤞. Till next week yall👊. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Still hot af in germany but we’re only watering her any 3-4 days. Over night she stands in the greenhouse, if there is a chance of rain we also put her inside the greenhouse.

at this week u can compare the stems and bush in the videos, keep in mind this is my first hydro grow and i messed the PPM and PH a few times.. also snapped a whole branch of the hydro plant around week 4. still the hydro plant looks bigger and fatter stem. lol

This week continues with nice flowering with strong smell. One plant is light green, I don't know why. I also added on more light to my grow tent.

Week 7 of bloom, and I’m thrilled with how things are turning out!🌟 One of the plants has been fully flushed this week and is now ready to be harvested.🌱✂️ It’ll soon be hung up to dry, marking the end of its journey. This plant was incredibly quick, going from seed to harvest in record time—impressive!🍂😊 That leaves me with the other Banana Purple Punch, which has now started its flushing phase. In about 1 to 1.5 weeks, it’ll spend 48-72 hours in complete darkness before being harvested. This plant is looking fantastic, and I’m excited to see how it finishes up. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this grow. Each plant has shown its unique character and pace, making the process both rewarding and educational. Can’t wait to see the final results from the Banana Purple Punch!😊

Really blooming now. Starting to give hints of what's to come. Really noticing the distinctive differences between strains.

So this is the Tear Down week. The timing of it makes it so i will need to the harvest flag in a few days when I can weight and test the plants. I have included the Cleaning, and Cutting and some Root Porn. I will make the harvest post in about 4-5 days, when I can trim these plants. There is a lot of Plant here. I got way more than I was expecting. I don't have a scale that measure this amount of plant, without taking like 10 measurements and then adding them together. So I will just be posting the dry weight. I will post the wet weight as dry weight * 1.65. Autopots: Wow, what a great product. I have been blown away by how well and how easy it was to work with them. They really did solve the watering issues. Excellent product. If you are a beginner, start with Autopots. -= Lessons Learnt =- - Overdrive the air to your Autopots. In my control plant, I used a small rectangle air stone (instead of a standard air dome). This lead to root rot and some other issues, it also put significantly less air into the water. The root rot, give the material for the Brown Algae to grow. Using a huge Air-disc-Air-Stone would be an excellent combo to mix in with the air dome itself. Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Pawfly-Diffuser-Suction-Hydroponics-Aquarium/dp/B01MY3AQ33 at the bottom and the air-dome on top of it, will be what I do with my next experiment. - Air stone in the reservoir. I had two instances where algae grew into the res. An air stone would have helped. It would have also helped my control plant get less root rot. Given the amount that the air-domes and air sources got engulfed, having the water have more o2 in it would have only been beneficial. - Don't grow 6 plants in a 4x4. Since my control plant was about 1/8th the size of the others, I think I could have grown 5 in the shape of a 5 (on a 6 sided dice)⚄ This placement would give a much more spaced canopy for airflow and more importantly light. The sides of some of the plants were lighter green and produced larf due to lack of light penetration. - This tent was on 19-5 schedule. This worked out very well for this strain. After every lights on, they were in the praying position, so this strain was able to recover in that 5hrs off. If I had more seeds, I would run these again, and try 20-4. I think this strain could handle it. All for all, I think I'm going to 19-5 as my default timing. This kept up a solid DLI. - Staring at .9EC (really .7 EC cause my water here is .2 EC) Then bumping up at .1 a week, until 1.6EC worked out VERY well. I experimented on this crop all the way up to 1.9EC, which burnt the tips of this plant. I think if I did this strain again, I would do 1.6EC until 3-4 weeks left then crank it to 1.9. It did plump them up when I went to 1.9, however it left them looking rough. Bulk was added though. - Sticking to 6.0PH for all of veg, and 2 weeks into flower worked great. The plant had solid and consistent color and leaf shape . The plant's did get hurt, due to some issues (as noted on the weeks). I switched to 6.5 PH in the last 3-4 weeks and it helped them recover, and plump up noticeably. -VPD. The #1 thing I focused on was VPD. I keep it .9kpa range, as best as humanly possible. It was honestly, HUGELY noticeable compared to my other grows. I know truly understand the value of properly dialed in VPD. This is the one lesson that will stick with me forever. - Super-cropping: On the plants I give the chiropractic treatment too, had much thicker stems as much larger channel internally. I did this treatment to 4 of the 6, and the 4 that had it done has larger buds and recovered from defoliation faster. TLDR; VPD is king. Super-cropping is worth the time. Keeping PH and EC dialed in were all wins. Autopots kick ass.
