Hello Growmies, The final chapter of this incredible journey has unfolded, and it's time to share the bountiful harvest and reflections on the entire cultivation process. Trimming the plant was a joy, and with gentle fingers, I removed all the large fan leaves. The precision in this process revealed the true beauty of the buds, setting the stage for a smooth harvest. With care and gratitude, the plant was chopped, and the buds were hung to dry. The anticipation for what lies ahead only adds to the sense of accomplishment. The wet weight, excluding fan leaves, stands at an impressive 782 grams. The buds are massive, a testament to the efficacy of the nutrients used, particularly the Power Buds. The name seems apt, as the result is a collection of sticky, dense buds with subtle lemon notes and sweet pungent undertones. In the final moments, the plant unveiled some delightful purple hues. While I wish I could have allowed them to intensify further, it's a reminder that each grow is a learning experience. In hindsight, a slightly longer fading period would have accentuated those beautiful colors. We live and learn, and that's the essence of this journey. So this is a combination of weeks 11-12 as they all went into 48 hours of darkness and cut down on different days. My got cut down on different days. Will post dry harvest pics next ;p

I must say, the girls are doing a little beter than expected. Although the chem candy lags behind, it is producing more pistils than I thought it would. And looks like it is going to yield a little more than expected. Same for the blue dream in the back. She's making nice long cola's which will hopefully fill the whole branch in a couple of weeks. The lemon cherry cookies is fattening up and starting to go to the end phase. I will therefore stop feeding this plant nutriënts for it's last 2 weeks of life so all the built up nutriënt can be flushed out to produce a nice and clean smoke. Don't get me wrong, they are no monsters and it looked kinda bad for a while there. But overall I am quite happy with these autoflower in the end.

Only running 1 Thin Mint x Cookies + Cream its front left in the tent, great internodal spacing came highly recommended. Switching to Bloom nutrients, two part Cropsalt. Irrigation frequency will be adjusted as flower development drastically increases over the next two weeks.

End week 3 plants still looking healthy. Removed couple fan leaves blocking bud sites. Temps getting hot outside in spring so tent temps have gone up but still in range to thrive. Humidity is mostly the easiest to control

The topped branches are growing back nicely! Selective defoliation to allow for better light penetration. Watered with Real Growers Recharge and Fish Sh!t after top dressing with a tiny bit of Happy Frog fertilizer. Will begin flowering nutrients once she starts throwing more hairs. Continuing to LST and get those lower sites growing!

We back with some buckets! Time to fire up the pumps and get this show on the road. Soaked this beautiful little gem of a bean in some water until it cracked then threw it into the bucket with 100% perlite. Started them on a low dose of maxigro on day 3. Doing these diy Dutch Bucket style as always. Going to be running 8 in house genetics strains on the system with constant 24 hour a day irrigation. Not much exciting going on yet, but with a little luck that may change pretty soon. A huge thanks again to @wildeweed for this beautiful bean.

Wassuuuup my dudes 21 days into flowering and the results from the lst and defoliation are showing up. Multiple healthy tops and even the small nodes under the canopy are growing bigger, if all goes well I won’t have many popcorn nugs but I’ll have just big buds (let’s hope) I guess this also means they won’t stretch much more but I think some more height would be good for yield, anyway, can’t complain for the 1st grow and this is a process, there are no perfect grows! This week was also a week to add some more nutrients (the plagron) and it’s working very well for now! Let’s wait for the next few weeks, can’t wait to see the fatty buds 😂 Tell me what you think!

This plant was an absolute dream to. Grow, no issues at all with health of plant, just struggled to tame her as she was a a thick strong climber 💪💪. I'm so impressed with how this turned out, I could have flushed for another 3 days to make it 12days but I needed the space. After The 2 days of dark I was recommended I can definitely say it has vastly boosted her trichomes and the smell when I opened the tent blew my head away 😍😋 Aiming for a 10-14 day hang dry, The 10-12 weeks curing in jars with humidity packs. I will update with a dry bud weight and smoke test 👌 Bud wet weight is just 500g+ Final bud dry weight is 298g. Of juicy resinous purple and orange buds 😍 smells like sherbert and hang dry smoke test revealed a candy sherbert, no banana yet but hoping like the grow it matures with cure process now. Hits eyes straight away, sandy bottom kids, giggles, munchies, fun time with Mrs, bed. 04/29/2021 New week and she is doing lovely! New pistils are popping up everywhere and she is starting to get a faint smell I can't yet figure out how to describe. I believe I got some nice close ups on each top, looking very healthy other plants all have PW on their leaves not a smidgen on this girl, and that is my #1 breeding goal (read my germination period) for my girls. Took two nice tops to clone and Work this cross, time to pop some more seeds of this batch and find a good male, and females that exhibit traits I desire, and continue to resist PW!!!🙏 Goal#2 More sativa stretch than my short, Cookie Cake genotype.

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Lovely week! Done a little defoliating along the way while positioning her branches into the scrog, some i had to use ties to manipulate the branches where I wanted them in the scrog. Started by bending the main through the scrog then tying it back like an S, and the lowers I gave a little bend daily and then tied with pipe cleaners until she goes into full bloom and shoots her secondary stems up and matures! Can’t wait that’s probably days away for me but a week for yall! But follow my insta and there you hey dailies! 💚💯 thank you gromies
