Gone in to flower so started on some bloom nutes this week and also gave them a good defoliation

Week 8 is finally here! We changed up the nutrient feeding to the week 8 on the feed chart. I am diluting everything at a 50-40% rate to keep EC within acceptable ranges of 0.8 - 1.1 EC. I started adding Terpinator to the mix and I do notice a significant smell increase vs. without it. I am going to keep using this as I think it is a great supplement. I did figure out that even though on the bottle and on the specific feed chart, it says it is a light formula that will have minimal impact on EC and will not burn your plants at the recommended rates - it will! First time mixing up my nutrients with terpinator, I had to dilute it because the EC was too high. I put the recommended amount in my mix, and checked EC and low and behold it was high. The next feeding I did a 50% dilution rate and that seemed to be ok if you are diluting your other inputs properly to compensate. ALWAYS make sure your EC and PH are in check prior to fertigating your plants. I am watching the trichomes on a daily basis and am looking to harvest sometime this week or next. I plan to dry it in the tent it is growing in as it has AC and good airflow. Once they are done drying, they will get trimmed up, lightly vacuum sealed and stored in the freezer. Updates will be coming throughout the week!

Was supposed to update my diaries yesterday but literally forgot lol #edibles but they’re flowering nicely and stretching as they go! They’re truly loving life under the ts1000 can’t wait to see what the next week brings!

Temperatures were mostly in the mid to upper 80s during the day and low 70s at night. I watered 2 times with compost tea adding green sensation on the last watering. Auto Purple Hulk is fattening up her buds and showing lots of purple. Her buds have lots of sugar leaves which possibly can trap moisture causing rot. I check all my outside plants daily in the morning. If it rained that night, I give each stem a good shake to help dry them out. So far so good. The pics show the trichomes filling out the bud structure even without a magnifier. I am getting excited to see the full development of buds, colors and smells. Was a pretty smooth week for most the girls. Showing some steady growth. I topped all of the plants around day 12 other than the slurricane 7. Ph got a little high since the nutrient level was too low to buffer it at the beginning of the week. Slurricane 7 and sugar cane are the ones that took some damage. I think they will be ok though. I upped the nutrients to 1/4 tsp per gallon and the ph has held stable since then. Should be able to start some training the middle of next week and looks like we might be going 2 more weeks on veg before flipping them to flower depending on how this upcoming week goes. Guess you will have to show up next week to find out...

Moved light to 3ft above plants. 400ppfd plants are reacting well.

This week I noticed a decent increase in height and I figured I should get LST started. I wanted to wait to transplant my ladies, but due to covid, my supply of soil is not here yet, and I can’t fill my 10 gallon pots for the transplant. I looked up online and people said you should be able to transplant the plant successfully by cutting the ties and ensuring you just don’t disturb the roots / medium. I went ahead and got started with LST and I accidentally snapped one of my plants main stems during the process. I mean literally snapped, could see the hollow centres, hanging by a thread of fibre. *so heart broke * I had read online e you can repair it with duct tape and that aloe Vera helps. I did not have duct tape handy but I got some aloe and used the ducting tape that came with my exhaust fan to try to secure it. Fingers crossed it’ll heal If I had some root stimulant I would’ve tried planting it but I don’t have any. I was wondering could that be a form of super cropping? Do you think it’ll just be like a really brutal attempt at topping the plant? Very curious about everyone else’s thoughts on this Pics are attached. Aside from that one my LST went well from what I can tell. I did not train my blue dream out of fear of wrecking my one plant of that strain. I also did not LST one of my mystery caramel due to the stem feeling the same as the one that snapped. The rest I tied down and attached photos can you guys tell me if it looks like I did it correctly ? Would love some feed back. All in all I feel like we are kicking off the week strong. Hey guys :-) . Today the plant was sprayed again with neem oil. There weren't any more trips to be seen after the second application, but to be on the safe side, you did it again today get a cure. That's why the beautiful dark shimmer on the leaves :-). The ladies are developing well and have 1 week before I change the time to flowering. Normally I would let it get bigger and train because the tent only has 80x80 and 180 watts are available, so I will switch it over soon enough. This week it was poured twice with 0.8 l each time (for nutrients, see table above). Otherwise everything was cleaned and, as always, everything was checked. Welcome to week 7 of my White Truffle grow! I switched to flowering 5 days ago, 12/12 light cycle. No signs of pistils yet, it's growing nicely, but no crazy stretching. Since this is my first grow with photos, I'm really excited to see how the week goes ✌️ Update: First pistils showing up after 9days of switching to 12/12.
