The start of Week 8 called for drastic measures, and the results are setting the stage for explosive bud production. **Key Updates**: - **Aggressive Defoliation**: On Day 1 of the third flower week, the plants underwent a *brutal* defoliation. Every bud site that had started to develop its own leaves was stripped of its fan leaves, allowing light to flood the canopy. Even the smallest sites now have excellent exposure, giving them the best chance to mature into chunky nugs in the coming weeks. Despite the intensity of the trim, the plants are resilient and primed to bounce back strong. - **Boosted Nutrients**: To support the plants after the stress of defoliation, I added another 5-6g of Greenhouse Feeding Bloom per plant. This ensures the soil stays nutrient-rich and gives the plants the resources they need to recover and thrive. - **Watering**: Still rocking reverse osmosis (RO) water, ensuring clean and efficient hydration without any surprises. **Observations**: - The canopy is significantly cleaner and more open, with light now reaching deeper into the lower sections. - The plants are handling the defoliation well, with no immediate signs of stress or shock. - Bud sites are already looking promising, with visible development and an even distribution across the canopy. **Looking Ahead**: The next few weeks will be all about letting the plants recover and watching the buds stack up. With improved light penetration and a fresh dose of nutrients, everything is lined up for some impressive development. Week 9 - Fourth Week of Flower The Donutz gang is hitting its stride as the fourth week of flower unfolds. Trichomes are developing beautifully, and the plants are entering full production mode. A few challenges cropped up this week, but quick thinking and some DIY ingenuity kept everything on track. Key Updates: Trichome Progress: The resin glands are popping off, with a frosty layer forming across the developing buds. The plants are starting to show their true potential, and the tent is starting to smell. New Fan Installation: The old ventilator tapped out this week, so a replacement was installed to maintain proper airflow. This ensures the plants stay cool and prevents any issues with humidity or stagnant air. Lamp Adjustment: The front-left plant shot up too close to the light, so I had to get creative. I built a DIY solution to raise the lamp higher, ensuring even coverage and preventing light stress. Accident Recovery: During the light adjustment, I initially tried securing the front-left plant with a rubber band. Concerned it might melt, I removed it, but in the process, the main stem got damaged. Thankfully, the plant is a fighter. The main cola is now growing sideways but remains fully healthy and strong. This unexpected twist has added some character to the tent, and the plant is bouncing back beautifully. Observations: Despite the challenges, all plants are thriving, with strong growth and healthy bud development. The sideways-growing cola on the front-left plant is a unique highlight, showing the resilience of the Donutz genetics. Next Steps: Keep monitoring airflow and light height to avoid any further issues. Continue with the nutrient schedule and reverse osmosis (RO) watering to maintain stability. Watch the trichomes closely as they continue to mature, signaling the start of the final phases of flower. The Florida Gang grind is real, and the Donutz are proving their worth week after week. This tent is shaping up to be a legendary grow!

Week 4 for Moby dick, She's finally starting to full herself together and getting some size, surprised how well she's doing for such low humidity conditions. I wont be training this girl whatsoever for now anyway unless her bottom branches start to push harder with growth. She's starting to show a few white hairs so i think from next week it will be pre flower time for her. I did encounter some aphids with her, was checking all the leaves every 8 hours or so killing anything i could spot & after 3 days or so i seem to be able to get rid of the issue.🙏

Gradually, Gorilla Cookies begins to extract the nutrients from the leaves. it is impressive how much resin it produces. Hopefully she will do well in the last few weeks.

The end of the fourth week. Only 2,5 to 3 weeks to go, since this is the FAST version of Gelato 33 by Advanced seeds. Last week temps were better, so that was a lot better to manage. The smell is a different story. We are trying to combat it as we speak with a double filter which my friend still had from a previous grow. The ladies are performing, however, because this is a monstercrop with many budsites, none of them will be very big. We anticipate a lot of cutting come harvest time. The stickieness and smell (cookies, dough, herbs, spices, gingerbread, vanilla) promise a lot to make up for that hopefully!! The middle plant that seemed to go fastest, now looks like to have the hardest time flowering. Her more advanced stage of flowering as a bigger clone, made it harder for her to return to veg, which she never really did. This seems to make her want to rush to the finish, as she is already browning the pistils. Also these buds seem more flakey, popcorny. As if the many flowers and grapelike bundled growth was too much for her. I put the light a little closer, to help her fatten up in the time she is given. I never expected the two 'runts' to outperform the mighty middle clone, but hey seem to fatten up and age much more nicely. So for now, prelimenary tip: make sure all your plants are completely revegged before flowering and consider that faster flowering species might have some ruderalis ancestry that might siderail all your lighting intentions and remains in flower what ever the growers lighting schedule. So with at least two more weeks for the two outer plants, and well see how many for the middle one, we are going to make them as comfortable as possible the final push of this flowering. I just removed the lower leafs, im not sure if i screwed it or not as maybe this causes some stress, but we will see, i think soon she will start to flower, at least i think so 🤔 Also provided some grow food this week and continued the LST, the stem is getting fatter which is obviously good 👍😊
