I use the glass of water for 24 hours and the papertowel method right after untill I see a nice size root

Big growth this week. Still in a heat wave. Had to move the driver for the lights outside of the tent to help with the heat.also moved tent to a cooler location. As i dont have the room in my house to grow so my choices are the garage or my 10x10 shed. I chose the shed because of the trees that shade it during the day. The zkittlez seems to handle it no problem but my others aren't .

These babies are behaving exactly how I want them to. So far no signs of preflowers at all, this is good because my light is farther away than I’d like and AVT is still finishing up in the tent and she creates shade. So they haven’t been growing as fast but they are looking healthy and happy, I’m sure they’ll take off in growth once they get the entire light and space. I topped Pink Kush on day 23 above the 5th node and I pruned the first node as these never really make great stems for big buds. In the next day or two I’ll top the other three ladies and prune first node as well.

Week 13 and 3rd week of flower started today 8/29. I did some Schwazzing last night! They were definitely ready!!! Starting to get that beautiful aroma 🙃 It's hurricane season so we'll have some rain coming up but I'm only 3 weeks in flower so that will be gone come crucial time. Temps outside are starting to go down so it's looking like a nice, gradual transition! You don't want to immediately adjust your temps, rh, etc. You have to ease it all down during early flower 😉 That's about it for now, just wanted to share my vibes with yall. Even though they were all born on the same day starting with 10 seeds (6/23/21), 4 out of the 9 (because 1 hermed) matured and finished much quicker than the others. I would say a couple of them have at least another 2 weeks to go. Slowly but surely. My fiancé and myself wet trimmed most. Never trimmed before. Shitload of larf unfortunately. I doubt I have any nugs that weigh heavier than 3.5. Should’ve done a few things differently but do it goes. I made sure to maintain “low and slow” as best I possibly could. 9 plants all at the same age was a ton of work! Used my original tent to dry in. Conditions were about 70 Fahrenheit, and 55%RH. Bought one of them tiered mesh drying racks, and hung it in my 2x2. Few fans at the bottom, and my intake fan at the top of it, exhausting into my 4x8. I’d reckon I got about 3 ounces out of the 4 I took down earlier this week. Amazing feeling smoking your own weed that YOU grew. Seeing it in your jars. It was definitely all worth it. I almost bought another 2 ounces off my weed supplier. Then I realized I didn’t need him anymore. Saved me three hundred bucks right there. Idk If im just unlucky or what, but only a couple of mine had a slight purplish tint. Sorta disappointing. It smokes great tho, even still being in the beginning portion of its cure. I fucked up in multiple aspects, chalk those up to learning. Definitely going to defoliate around day 30, and also make sure my lights aren’t too close like they were here. My greatest mistake was the PH, it was improper for about 3 weeks. Took that long for it to get sorted out. Thus more than 1/4 of the plants life was spent in not perfect conditions. I was putting in water at 10.7, and getting 6 out as runoff…. With that being said, I’ve now got 4 plants to completion under my belt, soon to be 9 so I’m moving away from soil and closer to hydro. Bought an automatic drip feeding system I plan to use for coco. I’m done with fox farms ocean forest. It may be alright, but I’m spending way too much time watering/feeding. Thank you to everyone who commented, I appreciate it. Gonna keep doing what I’m doing and try to do it better than this time. Shooting for fatter nugs no doubt.

Day 28 flowering: Another enjoyable week using this little ray of sunshine.. The 2 plants under it are thriving and showing perfect health. The coverage is plenty enough for both plants in their 30L pots and at a height of approx 18 inches above them both, has enough depth penetration to reach the lower growth developing. The Northern lights has some nice stacking colas forming which will hopefully end with a stout but bud heavy girl. Her golf ball tops are a good sign for the 3rd week flowering too. She has plenty of mains to help this happen I think. My Grandaddys Mimosa is also doing brilliant now and has so much growth on her to build nice buds onto. She looks a little more productive than the Northern light too so should be an interesting race. The others moved out of the lights canopy are all going well too. Looking forward to the Gorilla cookies too. All in all another great weeks performance from the Xs1500. Onward and upward growmies Be well .

The gnats are pretty much gone but I saw one today sadly. We pruned them on the bottoms to give more room to grow. Next grow I hope to do it sooner. We are going to be starting nutrients back up on Monday which will be exciting.

Day 71 (August 26th): Watered the ladies again today, everything is still looking great. Pheno 1 is starting to get yellow leaves, still diagnosing the issue. Day 73: The soil is drying out super fast. The roots are coming up through the soil now. These girls are root bound for sure. Next grow will be 20 gallon pots for sure. Day 74: I’ve got a nitrogen deficiency on one of my phenos. Added a bit more Power Bloom 2-8-4. It’s a bit too early for these girls to be starving for nitrogen. A couple more weeks and I’ll let it fly. Day 77: That’s a wrap on week 5 of flower. 3-4 weeks until harvest!
