Pruning and tying em down to maintain a very low canopy for the stretch. So far, so good. No real deficiency issues as we’ve been keeping the regimen real conservative. Getting there... cant wait for Spring Walls are up and painted, floor is laid, electrical all done, exhaust outlets mounted. Ive started to install the trim - I decided to put a grey stain instead of boring paint on the floor trim boards. Looks really solid against the dark bamboo floors. I used two gallons and two coats of flat pure white paint for walls and ceiling. Should give me a reflectivity somewhere around 80%. Some may ask why not opt for mylar? I just dont like the look. I dont care too much for reflectivity, as I will be well above the required watts/sqft with the light setup I will be using. I mounted an electrical receptacle in the ceiling, I thought it may come in handy for cord management. Im going to mount the 3 x meanwell drivers outside of the grow room and run some extra long cables to them. This is to keep heat out of the room, any little bit helps. Will be running a 8inch fan with about 750 CFM in order to properly vent the room. Intake will be a door vent and the negative pressure the fan provides. Odor is not too much of a concern, but may as well add a carbon filter. Autos are doing alright this week. Very low RH has kept them from being their best selves. No worries, early season growing suck, and this years faults will be next years improvements. Next year will move from an electric heater to an oil filled radiant so that I dont suck so much moisture out of the air First week of flower, I expect them all to stretch this week

Cant seem to hurt these plants, did yet another heavy defoliation and they are doing great. Flowers seem to be growing faster than the blue frame I grew before this. So far so good, tks for stopping by and checking my grow out!!

Here we are, last week of feeding! She has been showing the first ambers begining of the week so I don't want to wait too long before harvest. Week 11 will be flush week. I really love this pheno; how it looks, smells and I hope tastes! The buds have nicely grown in size this last two week and trimming should be quite easy on this one! 😘 I realize I did't take global pics this week so next week before harvest I'll make plenty of them. But, I made a video attempt trying to film in macro and I already feel sorry for those of you that will get sick watching it... 😨 With this level of zoom it is so difficult to have a smooth travelling and no shaking, especially when you have to manually live focus. I will improve my skills for the harvest video!

I pulled a few top fan leaves to get to limit the stretch. All good and looking happy.

Start of week 4 - She is looking real good. She is getting rather bushy but is not growing much taller yet. still only at roughly 13cm. Day 22 - 23/01-2024 - watered 1.3L (1ml of calmag-grow-bloom-top mixed with 1.5l water) Day 26 - 27/01-2024 - watered 1.5L (1ml of calmag-grow-bloom-top mixed with 1.5l water) - She has started growing a bit taller and has reached 17cm today Day 28 - 29/01-2024 - She has been growing a little taller and has now reached 20cm total. I really like how compact and bushy she seems, so many branches on so little stem. 😍 She does not seem to have started flowering yet so i'll start my next week as veg week aswell.

This grow has been an unbelievable challenge. From bugs and stretching to other various problems. However I've gotten some great advice and am hopeful that it will turn around soon. :)

HLG 260w Qb288v1 4000k; 20/4 light schedule. 24 inches from canopy. Temp range 72-81F. RH range 42-55%. LST has really brought out the potential colas on both plants. One is lagging a bit behind the other, but not by much. The light is so strong the plants are nearly flat due to LST - 5.5 inches tall Day 28 What should my nutrient schedule be this week? Using Fox Farms soil trio. Thinking 1/4 strength grow big and tiger bloom every other feeding. Hoping they get a good stretch, trying to get highest yield I can (my first experience not having to purchase cannabis from anyone!) Watering every 24 hours with 1/4 gallon pH corrected 6.3 well water ( no runoff). Entire smart pots feels light and dry before I water either plant.

I found them and i think i staked them back to health in time, no noticeable damage, more blindsided while realizing the volume and coming to grips with the next step. the reality of the bounty of my garden is dawning on me, and i am a bit intimidated. by the dry, as i am in low RH. by the cure, as i have never done one before. by killing my girls, as they are lovely to ease my anxiety, i ordered 20 hydrometers and increased my jar count from 36 quart jars by adding a dozen 1/2 gallon jars. it is obvious some of the buds need bigger jars to stay intact during the cure. i skipped the boveda packs for now. they are amazon prime away in an emergency, but i figure my attentiveness will be enough, at least this first grow; plenty of people did it right before me without the boveda packs, and when i can pay less per hydrometer than boveda pack... it becomes an interesting decision. i choose old school... for now (mind subject to change) end game is WAY more intimidating than dropping that seed into that cup of water. no one told me it would be this stressful! i hope i do them well during this next phase and these next few weeks. they certainly appear to have done me well 9/7/17 I have a confession to make. When I thought the plants got stunted by the heat, I considered pulling the plants and starting over. Boy an I glad that I didn't. I didn't know what I didn't know. What stopped me was reading a forum post somewhere and a guy was frustrated with his grow and was thinking of pulling it (i think he only had 1 plant). Someone responded to him with very prolific questions. "And then what? Plant another and make the same mistake again? Why don't you finish her out so on your next grow you know better what not to do?" Bingo. He wasn't even talking to me, but he was speaking directly at my situation (or so I thought). I decided to finish them, even if they were stunted dwarfs (SPOILER ALERT: They aren't, I was wrong, they were anything BUT stunted) I am really glad I found that advice because who knows if I would have went through with it if this gentleman hadn't given me a moment of clarity. So if you are frustrated by your first grow, I would advise to finish the grow no matter what (unless, obviously, its a male or moldy or something that DEMANDS the plant be culled) and learn what to do better for next time. I thought mine were gonna be bonzai plants. Not even considering the money wasted and the time wasted, I would have missed out on what the plants have taught me and a tent full of superstars. Now, as I am approaching the end, I need some advice. Aside from trics, is there any other way to determine approx how long left in the grow? I need to change my nutes to end stage stuff (adding dry koolbloom, phasing out unneeded nutes, and finally the flush. ) I am super worried about getting the timing right. Besides trics, are there any other clear signals that we are rounding the corner to the final stretch? Thanks in advance. Also, I live in a dry environment. A desert, actually. For real. It seems like dry trimming will be very important for me if I do not want it to smell like alfalfa after the cure. Any thoughts on dry trimming? I know it is more work, but the results seem better. My plan, so far, is to hang the entire plant upside down in 1 piece to dry. The only question is, how many of the large fan leaves to leave on. Some leave all, some leave only the small ones in the buds. Any thoughts will help me decide along with my other research. Thanks!

Fo' Twenny here back with another update! I will be updating and uploading more photos through out the week. I hope you'll ride along and give me a follow! The deets: Feeding with .2 ml/gal of RapidStart and .2 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.5 and then add .25 tsp of recharge. 8/16 - 8 days post sow. All but 2 seeds have sprouted. I was especially concerned for the Melon Gum because I only had a 2 pack and both beans were quite pale. I gently dug around in the peat pellets and found the bean with a fresh, healthy tap root! I expect she should be popping up by tomorrow evening. The other bean yet to pop is the Jenny Kush. I was gifted 5 Jenny Kush seeds, and I will wait until tomorrow to see if she sprouts a tap root before popping another one. Hopefully, I will have more luck with the next one. Successful germination in 16 of 17 photoperiod seeds. With a total of 19 of 20 if you include the 3 autoflowering cultivars running along side. They're being documented in separate diaries and will stay in the veg tent when the photoperiods are moved into the bloom room. Go check 'em out! 8/20 Update: Melon Gum has sprouted. If you're not following my Zkittlez Auto diary, you missed that I almost killed this girl on accident. Graceful me, knocked over her solo cup and she got stuck to a sticky trap. Her stem split in half and I put a piece fabric medical tape to mend her and she is actually growing and doing well regardless of her injuries. All the girls, except Jenny have sprouted and are developing. I planted a new Jenny seed 8/18 and left the original in too, just in case.
