I’ve spent the last six days recalibrating my grow room. It feels more like a lab now because I am doing a lot of experiments with different variables and this week I have learned an awful lot. After pushing the environment to its absolute breaking point, I had to balance what my eyes were seeing against raw data to identify exactly where the Traffic Jam was occurring. I got so excited at the ability to control proteins in a plant with light spectrum I did the usual thing I do I drove them to their limits. Maximum photons (and beyond) in an environment where the plant just works like a suction funnel with a VPD of 1.6 kPa. What I forgot is that in my organic setup, the bottleneck is the speed the microbial life can create immobile nutrients. Under any normal conditions, the Biotabs 'just add water' method is more than capable of keeping up, but I had to be that guy and push them with 950 µmol of whites. By the time my Emerson burst came on, I was hitting them with around 1150 µmol, not counting the drain from the UV-B! This, on ambient, is just too much to ask; the plants used up all the calcium available, and my microbial life was unable to keep up. This is good to know, as if I wish to grow at this rate later, I will know what I need to add to facilitate that. I'm still blown away by spectral steering and the way proteins in a plant cell work. Grows are not normally still this fun at this stage. ________________________________________ 1. The "950 µmol" Mistake & Conclusion • The Error: I was running the main rig at 950 µmol, but with 4 strips of DRFR engaged, I was hitting a total ePAR of 1150 µmol. • The Failure: This intensity, paired with an aggressive 1.6 kPa VPD, outran the plant's metabolic capacity under ambient conditions. • The Result: 'Pistil Frizzle' on the crown of the Triple Cheese—the delicate stigmas literally toasted under the radiant load. 2. The Calcium Benchmark & The "Traffic Jam" • The Action: I noticed rusty, necrotic spots scattered across the leaf surfaces. • The Conclusion: The plants weren't 'low' on Calcium; the Biotabs microbial factory couldn't mine it fast enough to keep up with the 1150 µmol demand. I have officially flagged an image as my 'Calcium Benchmark' to track this in future runs. 3. The attempt to fix • The Adjustment: I have lowered the light ceiling to 800 µmol (targeting a DLI of 31–36) and stabilized VPD between 1.2 and 1.3 kPa. • The Rationale: This matches the 'spending' of the plant to the 'income' of my organic microbes, allowing the nutrient highway to move smoothly without crashing at the leaf tips. 4. Emergency Recovery: Bactrex & Bio PK • The Action: To clear the jam, I introduced a targeted top-feed of Bactrex and Bio PK to the Cheese. • The Goal: Boosting the microbial workforce and providing a direct PK source to support the Week 5 bulk while the Calcium delivery recovers. 5. Rhizosphere & Water Management • New decontamination for my 10L res refills: 10 drops of ExoThrive Neutralise, 5 minutes of violent blending, and an 8-hour air stone session • The Goal: To strip all residual chlorine and chloramines from my London tap water to protect my Bactrex and Mycotrex factory workers. • Future Intent: Researching the Water2 Pod 2.0 with a Fluoride filter to automate this and ensure consistent, medical-grade hydration. 6. Pot Size & Substrate Logic • The Constraint: Bigger pots are not happening • The Solution: To compensate for the smaller volume, I will increase Bactrex frequency and explore high concentrations of Gypsum (20g per 10L) in future mixes to increase mineral density without changing the footprint. Summary: I pushed for maximum push and hit a wall. By respecting the biological limits of a just add water system, I’m moving toward Environmental Harmony where every photon is used rather than wasted as a stressor. Been a great week for learning. I ended up over watering while flushing from the nute burn, as i finished the flush i did a calmag feed and my deficiency got worse. Not sure what’s going on here!! But buds are stacking nicely and getting dense. The tall plant looks to be a week or 2 ahead of the bushy plant

- DAY 78 (20/08) So, yesterday I went back to fertilizing applying corrections. The girl drinks a lot and grows out of all proportion. She has not yet come into bloom, it is her last days of vegetative growth. This evening I sprayed the mix of neem oil. (neem oil, water, potassium soap and citric acid) Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. I am open to advice, I would be happy if you comment with what you would do in my place.

Die Sonne scheint so schön, da freuen sich die Pflanzen sehr, sie recken sich nach oben und wollen immer mehr. Doch bei denen im Gewächshaus noch ein kleines bisschen mehr, außer bei der einen, das ist die Allerkleinste, wie man unschwer erkennen kann. Die ist noch kleiner als die beiden, die komplett draußen sind. Wobei ist die draußen auch nicht klein würde weil die sind gut gewachsen

Require regular trimming and maintenance to keep them healthy as much as possible so the girls can thrives…. Take up a lot of water for sure. But will update on the way and picture . Other than that I’m happy and satisfied and will look into Cereal Milk from Premium Cultivar as well. On day 12 will take it down from hang drying in 3 b 3. I will grow 6 plants from here on out instead of 12 . Give room for plants to space out.

Hola amigo! Una semana espectacular ha pasado para esta hermosa planta. Apenas pasaron 25 días de floración hicimos una pequeña defoliación para mejorar la circulación de aire y ella lo agradeció con una cobertura de tricomas extra en los días siguientes. El pH se mantiene en 6.4 y todos los riegos son con nutrientes, ella no desperdicia nada! La cepa es muy resistente y fácil de cultivar. No pasa desapercibida en ningún aspecto ya que tiene un aroma exquisito, tonos ácidos y dulces que recuerdan arándanos y frutos rojos maduros. Una estructura impecable y muy buen engorde de los cogollos principales así como de sus satélites 💚 Muchas gracias a Super Sativa Seed Club por esta increíble genética y a todos ustedes por estar aquí y formar parte de la comunidad de cultivadores más genial que haya conocido. This Wedding Cheesecake is growing very strong! She has a few double stems! This makes it look like she's topped herself on a couple of her branches. She's getting watered with about 1/2 of a gallon of de-chlorinated tap water.

Esa familia e vuelto para actualizaros una semana más de crecimiento de las Original, pues tienen potencial, están muy sanos y bien ramificados, tienen un tallo bastante consistente, y entre nudos hay muy poca distancia. Se les a practicado una poda de bajos y puede que a una una apical, tengo que asegurar pero creo que esta variedad si se corto alguna para retrasar crecimiento. Hasta aquí es todo poco más la verdad ya con ganas de empezar la floración, buenos humos 💨💨💨

Completamos una excelente semana de cultivo. Las plantas muestran un estado de salud envidiable, con un vigor que supera las expectativas. Sin embargo, esta semana me sirve de aprendizaje: identifiqué un error de cálculo en la preparación del reservorio. ​Debido a una confusión en el volumen (calculando para 30 litros cuando el tanque es de 15), estuve aplicando el doble de la dosis de Power Buds de Plagros. Afortunadamente, la genética ha respondido con una resistencia increíble y no muestran signos de estrés, pero procederé a normalizar los parámetros de inmediato para evitar una acumulación de posibles problemas 😅 Muchas gracias por estar aquí y acompañarnos con nuestros seguimientos semanal día a día un abrazo para todos amigos!
