Going into flowering is always a special moment and we prepare to do it in the best way to make the plant understand that it is time to become a woman and speed up the start of the formation of buds. We start with 24 hours of darkness this to give a strong break and sign of change to the plant that understands the change of time and prepares to go into flowering. Our Test # 3 is doing very well for now, it has an average internodal distance and responds to topping very well. Its buds are quite well aligned and we expect a copious flowering. Another thing that gives the plant the signal of the start of flowering are the flowering stimulators we friends of Plagron use Power Buds. The start of the flowering program includes the same additives as the vegetative phase Power Roots, Sugar Royal, Pure Zym and adds the flowering stimulant Power Buds. Another week has flown by, and our girl is thriving, packing on more weight and filling out beautifully. The jealousy-inducing colors of Zamnesia's genetics are starting to show, with vibrant purple hues emerging on the flowers. The buds are massive, sticky, and exude an enticing aroma. Our girl is looking absolutely delicious!

10 weeks from seed to harvest. The nutrient line I was using didn’t give me optimal growth, for this strain and my level of experience. Had some great growth and veg time, about 4 weeks, but when flower kicked in they got beastly. I would say I had two different phenos of this strain, and the one pheno that is unique, had slightly looser buds than the other two. This could be because of the LST/super cropping of the main cola. The other two had nice rock hard frosty buds and have similar smells and profile. The other one has more citrus, and was a bit lanky, more sativa in looks. Overall, easy enough to grow, no major surprises, and decent enough yield for 10 weeks. This is a strain that could have been better had I not had some issues with either lockout/deficiencies.

Week 6 in the books and the harvest countdown is officially on. Aromas are rising, trichs/resin are ramping—super stoked. Spotted a couple gnats, so I dropped in yellow sticky traps for insurance. Cooler days = a slightly cooler tent; hoping that helps the colas tighten up. The biggest plant is still lightening/yellowing despite a Cal-Mag increase, and when I didn’t see improvement I also did a flush + EC reset. Buds are swelling (maybe a touch lighter on terps than her sisters). I’m seeing some brownish specks on leaves of the first plant on the right and the last on the left—leaning mild Ca/Mg shortfall. I bumped the Cal-Mag base and the yellowing seems to be easing. Question: would you keep nudging N/Cal-Mag, or let her ride since the flowers are filling in? Any Week-6 tricks you like (small night-temp drop, enzymes, etc.) before the final push? Can’t wait for next week’s bulking—corn-on-the-cob buds covered in frost would make my season.
