While sister plants may share the same parents, they rarely tell exactly the same story—and that is one of the most fascinating parts of growing from seed. This week brings us to Cash Express Pheno B, the quieter sister of the pair. At first glance she may appear slightly behind Pheno A in overall size and development, but spending a little time with the photographs reveals something far more interesting. She is slightly smaller. A little less aggressive. A little less imposing. But she possesses something equally valuable. Character. Looking at the canopy from above, the first thing that stands out is how compact and tidy she remains. While her sister is charging forward with obvious vigor, Pheno B appears to be investing more energy into establishing structure before accelerating upward. The leaves are healthy and evenly colored. The stems remain strong. The new growth is vibrant and active. Most importantly, the plant shows no signs of struggling despite her slightly slower pace. In fact, many experienced growers learn over time that the fastest seedling is not always the plant that finishes strongest. Some phenotypes sprint. Others build momentum. Right now, Pheno B feels very much like the second type. ⸻ A Different Growth Rhythm One of the most interesting aspects of growing multiple phenotypes side by side is seeing how differently plants can respond under identical conditions. Same tent. Same nutrients. Same environment. Same light. Yet each plant interprets those conditions through its own genetic lens. Cash Express Pheno B seems to prefer a more measured approach. The internodes remain relatively compact. The branching is beginning to establish itself. The center of the plant is becoming increasingly busy with fresh growth. And while she may not command attention immediately through sheer size, she rewards closer observation. There is a quiet confidence developing here. A feeling that she is preparing rather than rushing. ⸻ Healthy Signs Everywhere Several positive observations stand out this week: * Excellent leaf color throughout the canopy * Strong, healthy petiole development * Compact structure * Good node formation * Active new growth * Positive response to increased feeding and PPFD The fresh growth emerging from the center is particularly encouraging. Those younger leaves display the lighter green color typical of rapidly expanding tissue, showing that the plant is actively building new biomass and continuing to adapt to the increased light levels. Nothing about this plant suggests limitation. Only a slightly different timetable. ⸻ The Beauty of Phenotype Variation One of the goals of documenting every phenotype separately is to capture these subtle differences. If both sisters looked identical, there would be little to learn. Instead, we get to observe how two related plants express themselves in unique ways. Pheno A currently impresses through vigor and structure. Pheno B impresses through balance and composure. Both approaches are valid. Both are beautiful. And both deserve their own spotlight. Sometimes the plant that receives less attention early on becomes the one that surprises everyone later. I’ve seen that story play out many times before. I defoliated this week, in the 3rd week of flower. The stretch should be about over. Pistils and bud sites abound. I increased Tiger Bloom. Now we wait.

Day 50: Everything is looking happy after the little trimming. Getting ready to head out of town in a few days. Ordered a small automatic waterer from Amazon to assist while I'm gone. Watering/feeding day. Each plant got 1 gallon of water with the following things: 5mL per gallon Alaska 5-1-1 30mL per gallon Alaska 0-10-10 (a little more than normal to give them a boost) 5mL per gallon GrowMore Seaweed Extract 15mL Blackstrap Molasses Scratched into the surface of each pot is a 1/2 cup of Happy Frog Fruit & Flower Day 52: Leaving town early on Day 53 for 5 days. To prepare for the time I'll be gone I got an automatic watering system from amazon. Since I only use a total of 4 gallons during watering and only need one watering done while I'm gone, a single bucket will do the trick. I set up the system, installed two watering stems per pot, and made a looped system. In the bucket of water, I added nothing but the water. I don't want to have to worry about stirring it or anything like that. I set the system up to water when lights come on during the 3rd day I'm gone, Day 55. After I had the system set up I watered/fed the plants. Each plant got 1 gallon with the following: 5mL per gallon Alaska 5-1-1 15mL per gallon Alaska 0-10-10 5mL per gallon Grow More Seaweed Extract 15mL Blackstrap Molasses Plant 2 also got 1.25mL of AGT-50 Plant 3 also got 15mL of Liquid Culture Microbes Plant 4 also got both the AGT-50 and LCM at the same amounts above. Flowering day 63 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone 😀. Both phenotypes continue to develop very nicely :-). The buds begin to ripen and smell very tasty 😍. The trichomes are 70% milky, 15% amber and 15% clear. As soon as the next 7-12 days are 70% milky and 30% amber, I will harvest. That's why I start flushing tomorrow 👍. It was watered twice this week with 1.2 l per watering per plant. The tent was cleaned and everything checked for health 👍. Happy times have arrived as nearly harvest time currently in flush mode for another week and yeah hard rock buds very frosty

Week 5 is now over, and the buds have developed beautifully. It has been really nice to watch them getting thicker and heavier from week to week. I’ve been thinking about removing some of the leaves, but I’m still a little undecided about where and how much I actually want to take off. At this stage, I want to keep as much of the sugar-covered foliage as possible and let the plants keep doing their thing. Apart from that, this week was pretty much the same as the last one. There wasn’t much to do besides feeding and watching the buds continue to swell. This week I’ll start reducing the bloom nutrients as we get closer to the finish. If everything continues developing like this, I’m guessing we’ll be around one to two weeks away from the end. For now, I’m just enjoying watching these flowers get bigger and frostier every day

Started giving nutrients, up to 300-350 ppm. Having temperature problems, it's too hot outside 34-36 degrees Celsius. This causes problems inside the box, mostly for water inside hydroponics. Have to use frozen bottles of water two times per day.

Day 48, end of week 3 into flower 🍓🌱 Plant got a good Lollipopping 🍭and a heavy defoliation. I've run into a big problem this week, as i noticed the plant is having a light stress.. Lots of leafs got curled up and tip burned😱🤦🏽😞 I turned the lights down to 170w, and it seems the stress on the plant has stopped. This is my 3rd run with this light setup, and on the last 2 runs i was growing with about 220W with the same setup/tent size. First one i grew was a Cinderella Jack auto from dutch passion, was 100% perfect with 220w! Second was Zkittlez by FastBuds, and with her i did saw signs of light stress, but the plant came out perfect at the end. But this OG Kush auto seems extra sensitive to strong lightning, I just hope she will recover and produce well 😳🤞🏽🌱 Other then that the plant just keep getting bigger and bigger!! 🤯😍 Its 54 cm high (started the flower at around 30cm!) And she was topped of course, Absolutely fantastic in that matter!✌️🏽

Hi Growmies, This grow was not about growing the biggest plant but a test on how Natural sunlight compares to artificial light. I can be clear on one thing: natural sunlight gives a better terp/trichomes development, at least within my setting. This is probably due to natural UV rays within sunlight which is harder to get in a tent. Also the cost of this grow was so cheap, that if I would sell 3 grams I would have my whole investment in this grow back. So cost wise an outside grow will always beat an inside grow, especially with the current energy rates where I live. So after the drying process we will do a quick taste test before jarring it up to cure. That will also be the time I weight my buds, wet weight is not important to me. Hope y'all will come by later for the final verdict but for now, feel free to scroll this diary and if you have any questions feel free to ask those and I will try to answer yours ASAP. Week 9 November 4 - Okay 10 days into flower and she is doing good. Started showing pistils a couple days ago so here we go -a lil bit of a stretch happening but im not too worried about the tent size as the other plants should be ready to flip this coming week and that tent is a bit bigger -already smell sweet and floral in the tent didn’t expect the smell to come thru this early

She’s stalled and started fading, not sure if she’s just taking nutrients from the leaves to build buds or if she’s getting close to finish. Trichomes are all clear so I’m gonna test the soil and then decide what to do from there. Either way, she’s beautiful and she smells amazing! Like a tropical cheese skunk.

After the first days of germination, when it was time to fertilize our Fruit Punch Automatic started strong. In this diary you will find that grow free maximum with the application of some technique that does not involve cuts to preserve its speed. The plant after taking the first food + started like a rocket and is quickly going on internode after internode we will soon go into pre-flowering. Just tucking away 🤣🤣🤣 Last weeks feeding was slightly too high for transition. I am realizing that the amount of fulvic/humid acid reduces the need for full strength ratios. This week we are going to feed 800 again, as the need for ppm’s has increased, but I am going to stay under 850 unless I see deficiency in leaves. The photosynthesis plus has been added to the mix. I know, I have recharge. However, there are certain strains in PP that recharge does not have. Specifically there is a strain for absorbing more from the lights. I have some purple stems from the light being a little to intense. We will be adding a little more cal-mag to the next feeding also. Looks like feeding will take place Tuesday/Wednesday this week. All plants are female and no Herms present for the party 😂😂 10-25 did a pre-feed of cal-mag, 8 oz. Later this evening I will do the main feeding 3 cups. The ratios are still 8-8-8 at 800 ppm’s. The extra ppm’s come in the form of extra cal-mag. Did some tucking as I am in stretch phase. So I work with a grower who is 76 years old. He has some old school techniques that make sense. He pre-waters his containers with 25% water. The remainder 75% is either nutrients OR additives that need to be added to the water. I took it a step further. I added cal-mag to the pre-water stage. Then I fed the nutrients second stage. Cal-mag is the “carrier” for nutrients throughout the plant. “Adding the nutrients after, makes it easy for the nutrients to fully saturate the soil and reach all the roots. This also prevents salt build up.” Ron’s Words. I will say my containers held double the amount of water using his method. 10-28 added some reflective material around the sides. My Growmie at RedmanFarms suggested I add it to the room. I am inside of an open air room for flowering cycle. Today was watering day. First watering was a light dose of cal/mag. Second watering was kelp, seaweed, photosynthesis plus, monk beans SST, fulvic/humic acid. One of the plants ( top left) seems to have a sulpher/magnesium deficiency ( it’s also the one with the soil I don’t like). I made some Iron/Tone tea by Espoma at 200 ppm’s and did a foliar feed. So far I see some progress on purple recessing and the growth has started to match the other 4. I have 1 more week of tucking to do and then I do a HEAVY defoliation on day 21. After than I won’t touch the plants other than feedings and water.

Almost to flower lighting. Doing a high frequency fertigation. Due to the properties of the growing medium. Made up of pretreated coco coir at about 70%, the rest is perlite. It seems to be difficult to overwater. I found the coco for cannabis website and have been following their recommendations for feeding twice a day. Trying to keep the run off water at 20-30% of what I add to the top of the pot. EC readings comparisons to input values have made watering twice a day with less total water each time. Is the only way to keep my ec measurements within 400 or .400 depending on the meter. Of the input. So I don't want the run off to read higher than 400 micro semens ec reading than the original solution fed to the plant. Going to stick with it. Purple stems are on all the plants. So magnesium is not being absorbed as well or I don't know. Not enough in the nutrients. I'm skeptical to use magnesium sulfate. Very alkaline.

Hello, its week 12 and we are still in this lol I think 3-4 more weeks and I can finally harvest wohoo. I had a little Problem with gnats. Had to remove 20~25% of the plants. Has anybody more good advice besides sticky traps and not water to often? Thanks See you next week lol

Hello Growers 🙏🏿 Start of week 4 Day 22 - placed the plants with the lowest hight on some books, so they all get the even amount of light -noticing that that plants slowly touch the back and side walls of the tent , Day 23 -they had 30 h of light with no sleep, and now the flower phase begin -start of 12-12 cycle -bottom leaves start to fall off Day 24 - forgot to turn the van on... almost everything was wet after the night -first day of 12-12 they liked it... start to see growth in height - had to adjust the height of the lights Day 25 -added some soil, cause some roots were watching out of the soil - removed all baby leaves , and most of the row above - gave them each 1,5-1,7l after 1 h after waking up - noticing huge stretch in height every day, need to adjust the light almost daily If u notice something or have any tips for me that might help, please let me know !

I believe I prepared the SuperSoil layer too hot, and as the roots reached the over-fertilized layer, they got affected. Some suggestions pointed to a nitrogen deficiency, but I don’t think that’s the case. I applied a good watering with Bactomatik, which contains 2% nitrogen and nitrogen-fixing bacteria. This was already a planned watering, and while the plant started stretching a bit, I haven’t noticed any improvements in leaf coloration yet. I’ll keep monitoring closely to see how it recovers. But If anyone has a suggestion pointing in a different direction, I'm here to listen! 👂 Over the next two days, I’ll start with LST, so that within 1-2 weeks, I can set up the SCROG net.
