Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:45 AM D 62 -Ooof! Not really sure what happened but a couple of my plants got rocked pretty hard. I must’ve overwatered them. I bought a soil meter so I can check what’s going on. I’ll put some pictures up. Hopefully it’s still going to be some fire. The strawberry crinkle is kicking ass one of the blood oranges is looking good and smelling great but the other blood orange and the forum Stomper got hit pretty hard. The blood oranges leaves have started to yellow and the smell It had disappeared. The forum Stomper still smells good but its leaves got hit the hardest. -this is my first indoor soil grow. Before this I grew everything hydroponically and if I dealt with soil, it was all outdoors. I’ve also grown using cocoa so I had that as a reference. That was a mistake. Growing in cocoa is really hard to drown your plants. Drenching a plant that’s growing in soil is not a good idea. -It might sound dumb to some of you growers out there, but having a digital meter for your soil is awesome. I stick that thing in there and I stop watering when it tells me that it’s good, highly recommended.

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Hi people 🤗 A lot has happened this week 😄 The 3 Blue Cheese and 2 Kosher Tangie Kush which have been in the flowering tent for 1 week have become very bushy 👍 Unfortunately I just noticed that I completely forgot to take pictures of the Blue Cheese Phenotype # 3 🤦‍♂️🏻 The picture will be given later. The rest of the Vegi tent is also progressing very well. They are repotted in 11 liter pots this week, and then come to the flowering chamber die the following week The next week there will be new pictures, until then I wish everyone a nice start into the new week 🙏🏻💪🏻 Let it grow 🍀🌱

Welcome to week 3 of the flower. 28.09.2020 - watered with recharge at ph 6.34 DAMM!!! these pistils seems to be on some sort of steroids i swear..ahahah..pretty evil looking bud if ya ask me. Another smooth week without any issues .buds are really starting to stack now.

Day 14 F. HOLY SMOKE THIS LIGHT KICKS ASS!!!. Lol Each week that passes has been a pleasant surprise. I expected I would have had to move a good portion of the plants over to my other space and just grow 1 or 2 under this Viparspectra xs1500. Yet her we are at week 2 ending with flowering plants who are all getti g plenty of light to convert into the growing buds. The #1northern lights is well underway with stretch and bud stacking while her midget sister tries to grow higher. The 2 Gorilla cookies are beginning their stretch now and showing fluffy tips that are the pistils bursting out. Both look like they could get very big indeed. I may have to move these two so I can get my Grandaddys mimosa and the big northern light right below this little powerhouse of sunshine. My Mimosa is really impressing me at how vigerous it is. She is stacking the buds up on her many limbs too. I did a minor defol to remove lower scrubby growth and will be keeping her focused on her mains. She looks very happy at the moment. The light really has impressed me this far and seeing buds appearing all over the plants isba promising sight. Lets see what they do in the next week. Be safe.

The girls just keep on cooking...and things are starting to get really bushy. I'm hoping that we're close to finished on the vertical growth front. Chem Brûlée just keeps getting bigger and bigger, but she seems to be spreading OUT faster than she is growing UP at this point (she's already 56" call). Pineapple Meatball is just a straight up bush. French Macaron is 62" tall and VERY thick on the vegetation front, but not as WIDE as the chem brûlée. 7/13 Sprayed with light neem/castille spray

The girls are looking better and better each day. They have finished whatever stretch they had begun, and are now stacking some very decent buds 😊 They are showing some phosphorus deficiencies, but at the same time are showing that they are getting some nutrient burn 🤔🧐 I’m used to making one solution to feed, and that seems very difficult to balance with some of these Auto’s, as I have had to adjust for these girls and not my others, anywho, the joys of Autoflower’s ❤️ Only a few weeks left, hopefully we’ll get through it as they are looking promising at this point. And in to flower mode this girl goes, and i think she will be the more stable from all of the 4 testers going, she is vigorous half size plant, en comparing to the rest, and an excellent hybrid, these by the looks could very well be released some point this next year or so, she is performing like a queen !!! Sorry lovelies, I've been a bit lazy with my diary the last few days. This is probably due to the brilliant effect of Dark & Big Devil 😈, which slowly reach their full potency through exact curing. Incredibly pleasant feelings, all day long. I'm super chilled, stimulated, but not tired for the time being. But now I don't want to keep you in suspense any longer and talk a little bit about the care last days, with my "Long-Life-Automatic" ;-)) Sour Jealousy. A few days ago, my relatively new oscillating ProFan started to rattle. After all, it always got stuck in one place. So I went to get another oscillating fan (RAM) for my new home box. In the process, I developed a new ventilation strategy. The ProFan can't turn anymore, but at least it's wonderfully straight! ;-) so in the future he will aerate the plants around the 20 l fabric pots in a well-circulating manner. Since the new Home Box has a height of 2.20 m, there may even be one more fan in the grow space. What I want to say is the following: I have now implemented this idea in the 80 box for a few days and the plant reacts excellently. The only important thing is that the draught indirectly envelops the root area. I have the impression that it works even more efficiently, like a machine. Also, I really have to say that I've never experienced such a voracious sativa phenotype before. Namely, one that literally eats the hair off my head. 🤣 The harvest of the two Sweet Seeds seems like a long time ago. I didn't expect such a long "overtime" either. However, I am happy to have received so much new input. You never stop learning. I assume that it will take about 2 weeks from now on, until the harvest. Again, she takes her time. Incredible. So many white hairs more. She now greases the grapes nicely, just a sativa monster! 👺 And eats and eats and eats. The colas are fully stocked from bottom to top and the scent almost robs me of the little sanity I have left. 🤣 The diameter of the main stem is 4.5 cm. Absolute record so far. I have also bought new supply air systems, and a Flexi-Tray as a protective pan for the Home Box. I even managed to get hold of fixture poles to be able to use the Home Box more efficiently. Among other things, I have significantly improved the recirculating air situation. I think every ambitious grower should think twice about this: the convection! An important topic, in my opinion. In my case, this means one in the root area, one oscillating on the leaf roof and one at lamp height to distribute the heat better. I also let the compost tea ferment for almost 40 hours and each time half an hour before pouring, a level teaspoon of Bactrex was added - with full aeration. Thus, the soil life literally explodes and works...! And I combine it with the Bio PK Booster from Biotabs. I like the combination of both. I use the PK Booster in a slightly lighter dosage than indicated. Because my tea version, I think, hits quite a bit every time. After all, it says: “Stop feeding your plants, start feeding your soil.” Organic farming - my passion to grow! Soon I will redeem my darling... Looks very juicy! Maybe tomorrow sun again until Monday and from Monday morning 48 hours of absolute darkness with full circulating air and exhaust air circulation. I think you can't use a HS 80 more efficiently. I'm enjoying the last few days with my good old Secret Jardin HS 80. It offered me excellent quality and quantity. The material was disproportionately well processed at the price level. Only the corners I reinforced with self-adhesive aluminum foil. And what I find so cool about my Hydro Shoot is and was: It’s ideal for bedroom cultivation. But it's really time for a technology change.
